Can F2P level skinning to 300?

Trying to get the Winterspring Frostsaber mount, but for that quest, one needs 20 Rugged Leather.

While leveling skinning, I'm stuck at 200 lvl and can't seem to get past it.

Is this a bug? Are we capped for being lvl 20?

Any help appreciated

If all else fails, there's still Darkmoon Faire prof quest.... But that does raise the question of whether Rugged Leather will even drop at level 20...

I am working on maxxing all professions rn in all xpacks cuz of the new achievements coming in 10.1.7, Classic LW really scares me for that reason.

For the Frostsaber mount I fished in some pools that gave crates that could contain Rugged Leather, yook some time but if you only want leather dor that quest I recommend it.

According to the wow professions guide, skinning is currently bugged and will stop giving skill ups somewhere between 250-280. Apparently it's different for different ppl? There is a leather working recipe for rugged leather https://www.wowhead.com/spell=22331/rugged-leather
Thick leather started dropping for me around 180 so it should be doable that way.

I've just been happily reminded that Knot Thimblejack's Cache does occasionally contain Rugged Leather, so if you're running it to get Convenient Crate reagent bag, kill two birds with one stone

I would say this is a bug. If not just lvl 20 chars face this problem maybe it will be fixed in order to be able to finish the new achievement for classic profession in10.1.7


I’ve created a report for this issue half a year ago. And use actual only the dmf to increase the skill

fishing from various schools and especially floating wreckage in what was older high end zones like tanaris, blasted lands, etc

East coast of Swamp of Sorrows.. Fish Stonescale eel schools and any Floating Wreckages you see. The crates give you rugged leather, thick leather, bolts of runecloth and other crafting items.

You can't get your skinning to 300 as of now. Not holding my breath for that to ever get fixed

I will create a in game ticket for this topic today. Because I was in timeless isle and skinned a mob. Without get trained in mop skinning. Now I have skilled up Mop skinning to lvl 3 and so I’m no longer able to get skill points for classic via dmf
