Bow Of Searing Arrows Worth it?

So, waaaay back in vanilla I was running Z...F? ... The first troll instance that starts with a Z. I was on my druid and POOF, it's an epic world drop! Much to my surprise I won the roll. So, into my bank! I didn't know about twinking then and decided to save it for my hunter who, thankfully I've taken forever to level. Later when trying to get to 60 in silithus POOF! A Hurricane drops off a worm. So now I have lvl 38 and 48 epic bows sitting in my bank and have since discovered twinking. My hunter is sitting at 39 and now that I can turn XP off I may twink it. Is a bow of searing arrows worth using? Or would I be better off with a blue bow or the BOA?



If the 49 bracket survives on my BG should I level up and go with hurricane instead?



Thanks for reading. Hope I can get some answers so I can finally decide what to do with these silly bows.
 
BoSA is nice, but you can get better top end damage out of a SFBM or Silencer imo.
 
truly doubt that it'll survive, not trying to trash your bg or you. how ever i have not heard of one bg that 49 is gonna for sure live yet.



i recomend staying 39 :S



and as for the bow if you want to "twink" but not "WTF LEET TWINK" then i would say use it.
 
id personally use the silencer or sfbm because of the better ammo you can buy for 39's, being alliance i dont have the availability of the ulduman arrows so im stuck with the vendor sub par arrows for my twink with the boa bow
 
Bow of Searing Arrows is (arguably) better for troll hunters who are willing to farm for the Uldaman Arrows. Otherwise you're better off picking up The Silencer of the AH and using the engineering ammo. Of if you you're lucky enough to find a Shadowforge Bushmaster use that :p

As a user of the Bow of Searing Arrows on Strydar, I believe this item is very worth it. I have a horde toon that farms the arrows out of Uldaman, and use them when I can. I'd highly recommend going with it as it has the highest DPS for a 39 ranged weapon when using the Ulda-arrows.
 
I'd say it's worth it - but ..



1) it's been about 9 eons since I've played my hunter

2) He's a troll

3) I've a pack full of uldum arrows



so uhmm.. I'm properly a little biased and outdated ^_^
 
Urm.. 49s are alive and well in Ruin.. Similiar question, I heard that gun from ulda was good? Is that not true?

I used BoSA for the first few days i was at 39, mind you I had pretty low AP at the time(about 525 in hawk), but my other stats were super dooper high.



Basically when I replaced it with a bushmaster on my 5th day at 39 (lucky I know :D) I noticed a HUGE increase in damage, especially top end.



So the moral of the story here is bushmaster > all, even for a troll.

As of 2.4.2 (AGES AGO) Bow of Searing Arrows no longer breaks Scatter Shot.



The Bushmaster is BiS at 39 due to its high top-end damage, +AP and +Crit from the Agi and the availability of the best ammo (Eng crafted) at 39.
