Boostsz vs Brumble vs ent vs jenif vs your hero

Who was the best 39 rogue in a 1vs1 situation. I heard that boostz is the only rogue to hold a winning record over brumble, confirm/deny?

I ws always more of a bystander in 39 pvp. I had a 39 twink for like one month in BC. I can't comment on brumble or ent or jenif's play, But boostz was a stellar rogue and one of the few that apparently lived up to the hype. I understand he was supposed to have a vid with brumble but for whatever reason that fell threw. I'd vote boostz ,also because he was originally from vengeance. And vengeance twinks were number 1 in 29's( from what i heard),39's, and 49's

Number 1 in what exactly? Test realm duels or something? Because I'm reasonably sure it wasn't in activity.

Honestly, all 4 of them were great. Back in 4.1 or 4.2 when you could get the bonuses from 450 gathering, Boostsz and Entrerri were definitely the best rogues with maxed out gear. Jenif never had 450 mining/herb on her rogue, and I come to think of it, I'm not totally sure about Ent either. Brumble had his rogue in Vengeance, iirc, so he didn't really get many opportunities for direct matchups, since the character he had in <Purple Haze> was a mage.

Gear being equal, I'd put a duel between any of them as a tossup. Jenif always struck me as having the most hair-trigger reflexes. And in a group battle I'd go with Brumble. I can recall a few other great rogues, but I can't recall any that I would put on the same level as those 4.

Now if you wanna open it up to other classes, that would get pretty hairy, and my memory would start failing me there. Especially since I don't remember the prominent players from other battlegroups all that well now. >.>

Boostz has always been around. I've played with all but Jenif. You could probably throw Daymans name in there along with Ihate(Multi R1 Glad Sobad) and Drizzo. Out of all them in a 1v1 it would probably say Ihate and Ent

All those rogues you mentioned are very good and have particular skills witch are all slightly different. And even though those rogues all played, how can you compare their peak skills when their peaks where at different times, so how could you compare now when over the years the game has been changing?

I know that did not make scene but i cannot be bothered to going into detail and phrasing my words perfectly. :p

Nah, it makes sense. It's like how I was at my best back in TBC, even though my gear was better in WotLk. And if I came back and played now, I'd be almost a complete noob because of all the changes since WotLK.

ohhhh man. What a video this would be eh?

Having played against all aforementioned rogues (and beating them all, in every possible scenario; and losing!) i'd say its impossible to tell. All of them are great guys (and girl) and i learned a great deal from them all.

I forsee all of us duking it out for 10+ minutes and then we all get down to less than 10 health and we all throwing weapon die at same time.

I didnt think most ppl knew of ihate/drunkles/drizo b/c they didnt venture out of vengeanc emuch, dayman is decent but definitely of these other rogues calibers. I hate/drunkles/drizo were just as good as the names mentioned beforehand. Everyone in the pool seems to be a quality player.

@jadyn a true champion never loses his edge ^.^

edit i can only comment on his 49 rogue played, he had a habit of kidney shotting ret pallies before freedom and i i beat him on my warrior and i was a decent warrior but definitely wasnt amazing at rogue duels especially when i fought him.

TBH vengeance was great but I've also played with equally great twinks from all BGs. Post merge Nightfall 39s were probably the most competitive games I played for 39s and same goes for post merge Reckoning 29s.

Every battlegroup had their pro players. Our most competitive games were 5v5s against another guild in Bloodlust, and 10v10s against <Cyclone> from the bg of the same name.

QFT, and of course I wouldn't actually show my face until I could hold my own anyway. ;)

Oi Ent, when you gonna start wow again. 29's and 39's ftw. They will start popping again and we do wargames witch is really fun, i think you would like it alot.
Ive been thinking about it. I might wait a bit see if twink activity gets any better.

We'll see

As far as 39s go, Brumble is undeniably the rogue class hero.

Ent was more of a 29er, Jenif had humble beginnings in OTAKTAY, and Boostz has his aussieness working against him.

As for the OP's question, yes, but only by a incredibly small number, maybe 2-3 games at best. When I first got to duel Brumble, I won the first couple of matches, then promptly got destroyed the next X matches after. Brumble is probably the best rogue in terms of being able to adapt. He figured out my playstyle, and just crushed me for not trying different things, which I quickly learned thanks to him.

Jenif, she just does great damage, which is strange considering she's usually the worst geared. Playing fancy vs her is not good, because she'll just smash you in the face. She is also AMAZING at recovering from games that look like she's going to lose.

Ent, I don't know what it is about Ent, but his win/loss vs me is something like 70/30. He just destroys me in most duels. Probably just the better player, but I can't help but think he has some voodoo doll of me, because I've never had so many unlucky things happen than when I'm fighting him. TBH though, he's the most consistent rogue in terms of winning. He knows what's needed to win, and he just does it, no screwing around.

Ihate, Drizo, Balroys' brother's rogue whose name i never remember, all fantastic players in their own right, but probably just short of the 'best' though that is incredibly subjective and doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Dayman, as a dueler, he's decent, as a team player, especially in wsg, no one compares. That guy was born to return flags.

As for me, /shrug. I'm probably the most technical of the rogues, and I'd argue my reaction times are probably the best, factoring in the latency differences, but my weakness is a tendency to be flashy/stylish over actually getting the job done. Just look at the RvR's, Jen can biatch slap me to 0 hp in 4-5 seconds, while it takes me restealths and 20-30 seconds to do the same. Granted those are old, but I still suffer occasionally from that issue, but it's probably because I'm the 'video' guy, and I'm about 'interesting duels' over winning. In most duels, what you see in a video is nothing like how you should RvR. I'd say that short clip vs Ent is the closest to how you should do it.

Overall, I think we're all so close it'd be silly to claim anyone's the best. I still consider Brumble the grandfather of Rogues/39s because of the publicity he brings to 39s and what he does for the community. That warrants him #1 in my book.
