Boomkin gear and spec

So I just made the switch from 39 to 49 bgs. I have to say I am loving it so far, but I just want to make sure my gear and spec is up to par. I realize I could get more spell power and maybe a new ring or two.

I have the Deep Woodlands Cloak, but am comparing the two now. I never was fortunate enough to get Cyclopean Band. If anyone can give me some feedback as to increase my player as a whole and make it better, please let me know.

I havent had a chance to look at the heirloom items yet. If you have links to any caster heirloom gear for the bracket so I can look at them, that would be appreciated.

Your gear as a whole looks solid. Couple things perhaps.



Your Golden Ring of Power could be replaced with Underworld Band or Freezing Band. I actually run with Deadman's Hand on my Boomkin to help snare melee.



Featherskin Cape is the highest damage cloak (+18spell/+4stam/+4int), drops from Hakkar in ST.



Heirloom Shoulders with the ZG enchant is considered the superior shoulder now.



Oh and don't forget your libram enchant to your helm

Not knowing boomkins but knowing 49 casters in general here are some recommendations. Feel free to comment, I don't pretend to be an expert on your class.



- Head, great choice. How would a green lens or Eye of Flame suit you? Eye of Flame probably a better choice of the two for you, but it has no stam. That's what Librams are for though. I would probably add stam/HP to an EoF for this class.



- Shoulders, why go cloth when you could make Living Shoulders? I know its another 80 armor or so but if you leveled LW to go with skinning its not a bad option. If you really enjoy the class and are going to park here I would probably do it.



- Neck, Pulsating Crystaline Shard would be my only recommendation. If you have the XP to get it I would.



- Back, I had that for 49's since I farmed the crap out of the first half of BRD for a 49 lock. 4 Spell Power from ST is just a slight upgrade. If you're XP sensitive I don't think its worth it. I do have the Featherskin though.



- Feet are nice but I'd miss the run speed from the PVP boots.



- Ring. Replace the Ring of Power with an Underworld Band.



Stinks for you that there's no caster belt for PVP. Really kind of unfair and bad design to ignore a spec/class like that. That's all I gotta say about that, nice job getting your current belt.

Why replace legs with a BoP item that can't have a patch put on them? If you need Stam/int, level 49 eagle legs would have +15/+15 on them.



Green lens would restrict you to a single spell class unless you got the healing one... and even in that case I'd go with the Soothsayer's. That's just my opinion though.

Yeah I am going to stick with soothsayers helm. The cloth gives a slight spellpower advantage, but has no stam. I find myself hurting for stam atm.



I will stick with my shoulders as well. Although living shoulders gives 2 stam and 2 spell damage, I dont think losing the 13 int is worth it.



I will check for the back from ST. Didnt know they had one.





All in all, I dont want to sacrifice my stam and int for more spell damage. 350 spell damage unbuffed is great imo. No point in playing if I cant stay alive for more than ten seconds.

yeah i would definitely sacrifice a little bit of spell power for some stam seeing as how most people would get blown away ofter some roots and some moonfire spam.but definetely keep some gear in your bags depending on people in the bg. more twinks = more stam needed, less = spell power for quick blasts.
