A good example (though not entirely fair) is that [item]Pendulum of Doom[/item] is better than level 39 BAR.



What makes the BoAs so good in some cases is that in certain brackets the next best item in a given slot has worse itemization, or is not lvl x9 or simply isn't blue.



Another example is that for most anyone trying to do more dps, the BoA shoulders are better at 39 than the Revelosh Spaulders. However, if you're a healer or an FC, (leather wearer obviously) then the choice becomes harder. Revelosh Spaulders give very good stamina, better than the BoAs, so if you feel you need better survivability, they become a better choice.



It's difficult to beat the itemization of the BoAs, I'll give em that. =/

That is something like what I was saying. BoAs were made to give lower classes some of the stats they needed, and lets be honest, to give them an edge.



Why would Blizzard give gear that required a level 80 character that was worse than questing greens? They wouldn't.



Of course, I don't believe the shoulders are OP (without the enchant, that is) because the stat bonuses are truly minor in difference compared to equal level blues.
