BOA Shipyard Rings

Hey all! Kigatsuya here.

Quick question...for the BOA rings, I understand that you must have a level 3 shipyard.

I've also been told that you should put a ghostly spyglass attachment on a ship, and try and keep the top right corner of the naval map clear. Besides these 2 tips, does anyone have any suggestions for these dang ring missions to pop up? About how long does it take for them to pop up after you hit level 3?

Thanks!

Kig

I think solipsist has a really good guide for this in the library section

I saw that, and I appreciate it Solipsist! But I don't see anything about the ghostly spyglass and if that helps, so I was curious to see if there were any more tips :).

I had close to 1500 missions completed before I got all of my rings. It should not take nearly that amount now that the bonus missions have been buffed.
Good luck!!

2 Ghostly Spyglass, one on each ship, Use an epic Awakener (exalted with the bird dudes in Tanaan Jungle), and any other epic ship with a Draenei/Pandaren crew, and the remaining slot with whatever is missing for each ship (I forgot which ones they were). That should get you to near, if not, 100%.

I don't know if it's related to allowing access to the ring missions, but as soon as I finished the "Naval Sea Chart" mission (main quest line end-level) my ring missions appeared back to back to back. I was following the guide that was posted on TI, having done close to 300 shipyard missions along with all treasure missions, I figured something was up. Once again could have been a coincidence. (Had all proper ships and mods)

If you are starting from scratch you need to need to run a carrier, 2 subs, 2-3 destroyers, 2-3 Battleships and one transport.
You won't need a transport if you get a Murlock crew try and aim for that. I just kept making Destroyers until I got one. It is essentially two ships in one a destroyer and a transport! Just as the Arrakoa crew works as a destroyer and a Carrier. If you have access to the Awakener ship from Tanaan you won't need a carrier. And you can concentrate more on Night Elf crews. You just need to protect those night elf crews. Don't let them get destroyed. Two night elf crews can turn an 18 hour mission into just 4.5 hours!! Make sure they are shielded. And that Murlock crew too. It has a ~5 drop rate.
Getting the ring bonus's should not be an issue at all now that they have been buffed. I lackadaisically do my shipyard and probably do 3-5 bonus a day. And that is one shipyard.

You don't need level 3 shipyard or spyglasses on your ships to make the missions proc. Having Spyglasses on your ships when doing the missions is a must though. It is a random proc, but it is correct that they will appear in the top right corner, so try and complete all the missions up there. Good luck!
