Boa Chest VS Current Twink Chest

let's start by seeing what is really worth getting... i'm loving this new patch already, one because its gonna be faster for me to level another 80 and foremost, because it will enable me to love even more my twinks as it will be getting me more chances at survival !

let's start for my priest i'm doing...

Inferno Robe

Binds when picked upChest Cloth

53 Armor

Durability 70 / 70

Equip: Increases spell power by 19.

VERSUS

BoA Chest (tattered dreadmist)

Binds when picked upChest Cloth

?? Armor

Durability ?? / ??

Stamina : 5

Intellect : 5

Spirit : 6

Equip: Increases spell power by 7.

right there, right now it all makes sense to take the BoA... but there is a problem there... the choice is not that evident... i would lose spell power to gain stam + intellect + spirit which is cool... but i'm also losing the +2 all stats from the enchant if i choose the BoA. so let's see the total amount i would gain or lose in the end...

Inferno robe(+6 all stat) VS BoA Chest(+4 all stat)

19SP ---------------------- 7SP

6 stam -------------------- 9 stam

6 intellect ----------------- 9 intellect

6 spirit -------------------- 12 spirit

6 agility ------------------- 4 agility

6 strenght ----------------- 4 strenght

considering the armor has no value we won't be counting it.

so what's the difference here... for me its clear... Inferno robe all the way. it has way more SP to begin with and it can be going for either maxmimum stamina for survival, or going for maximum stats for DPS... spirit might seem cool but it won't be that much at 19. so to me that BOA is a valid choice for those who prefer one or the other. but for me i'd keep inferno robe to begin with.

i already have enough of typing so i'll compare the other later...

for now what do you think is gonna be great for priest twinks ?

It's the glass cannon theory.

Id say the boa cloth is better for priests, where as the inferno is still top for locks, glass cannon mages.

In the end, it will help balance the cloth classes for Alliance.

I'd still take inferno +6 stats on my priest over the boa. SP affects the amount of damage your bubble absorbs and it definitely helps with renews.

Nothing changes for FC druids. TLA still the best.

lol

tencharacters

as i said, people are thinking in the mold and thinking that BOA will replace everything, but from the stats i see... i am not impressed and really i agree on the glass canon theory.

but the alliance getting an equivalent to our inferno robe... /cry

i liked to have an advantage dammit !

seriously again, i'm not impressed by those BOA chest

RIP, i'll get back the patch notes who says it does !

it was changed back in the BC days !

EDIT:

here it is...

Patch 2.01 (The Burning Crusade)

Priests

- The base healing percent from "Vampiric Embrace" has been reduced to 15% from 20%. In addition, this ability can no longer get critical heals.

- "Silent Resolve" no longer reduces threat generated by Shadow spells.

- Prayer of Mending now has a 10 second cooldown.

- Mass Dispel will now target immunity effects first.

- Circle of Healing mana cost reduced by 25%.

- The effectiveness of "Fade:Rank 7" has been increased by approximately 25%.

- The damage absorption of "Power Word: Shield" added by the caster's bonus healing has been increased to 20%.

that was meaning that the bonus it gets from +healing was incresed to 20% that means that SP who actually gets you more SP actually boost your bubble by a certain amount ! i found another place where it said it was giving away more... in patch notes of 1.10...

- Power Word: Shield - This spell will now get a small bonus from items and effects which increase your healing.

so before this it was in 1.10 that it was made so it could get more from your +HEALING and then it was changed to 20% in 2.01 !

so the more +healing we get, the more our shield absorbs !

Yeah I forgot that in WotLK a 79.29% Healing Coefficient was added to PW:S.

^ This, I remember being grossly over-excited reading these patch notes and at the time having +235 heals on my priest prior to the spell power normalization changes.

Depends what you seek...

FC might not want those chest to begin with, DPS might want them though. unfortunetly that's 90% of the population. but those chest are good blues, still not the awesomeness incarnate !

I think mail healing chest and hunter chest are the two best pieces. Plate chest is kinda nice too but again giving up stam from defias armor. Anyone think a Crit rating pally would be any good? lots of ways to get crit with BoA and agility pieces, oh yeah and skinning.

Rogue chest is clearly bis for horde, I cba doing the math comparing it for allies tho.

You lose some crit and dodge, gain 60 health and 6 hit rating. BoA chest beats both Tunic of Westfall and Blackened Defias Chest.

i actually don't think so... unless the dodge you lose is only a few 0.0x%

60 life is good, but its not that good... 6 hit rating... at lower level hit % is overrated like hell !

3% hit chance beats 1.1% crit and 2.2% dodge imo.
