BoA bow V.S. Throat Piercers.

Hey, I was wondering what would be better for my FC warrior...I'm kind of leaning towards the bow, but I'd like some input from other players.

Thanks!

thick bronze darts - 2 str

adds 4AP and strength adds to your block rating

Well if we are talking fcing a premade for example Throat Piercers by large margin. Bow gives you no defensive stats at all. You could argue for that one hit but in a premade you want to stay in def stance most of time and let your mage do the slowing.

2agi = 4armor+dodge which Id rate far above 1 block.

I agree with this.

Throat Piercers as FC, Thick Bronze Darts as DPS.

I currently use the BoA bow with a scope enchant on my rogue. My crit rating is better due to it. Not only this, but if rooted and all of my cooldowns have been used, the bow shoots about 70-80 regular and crits as high as 170 for me. A weak druid or untwinked character can be easily affected by its damage.

From patchnotes:

Agility: The amount of agility required per percentage of dodge has been increased by 15%. This change required recalibrating the amount of dodge a player has with 0 agility by a slight amount as well, so all players will see their dodge percentage vary a small amount.

Resilience: No longer reduces the amount of damage done by damage over time spells, but instead reduces the amount of all damage done by players by the same proportion. The other effects of resilience (reducing critical chance, critical damage and mana drain effects) have not changed.

[ITEM]Upgraded Dwarven Hand Cannon[/ITEM] should then be worth consideration for an all-purpose weapon.

Bronze Darts:

4 AP

1 SBV

Throat Piercers:

4 armor

.35% Crit

.168% Dodge

BoA Gun:

3 AP

.675% Crit

Reduce all damage done by .08%

Reduce chance to be crit by .08%

Reduce critical strike damage by .1766%

Since armor only affects physical and Dodge only affects melee attacks in front of you, the gun may work out better. This is REALLY splitting hairs, though.

Yeah, I've decided the BoA bow though...the hit and extra AP/crit helps for a balance. Also, it looks badass.

After looking at those stats he linked you still haven't choose the thick bronze darts? When you are FC'ing... yes your mage is slowing but you can't slow a hunter from shooting a concussive shot which you can't dodge but you can BLOCK. Just an example.

Wow...

You can't block a ranged attack.

And even if you could, strength increases BLOCK VALUE i.e the amount of damage absorbed when you block. Are those conc shots hitting you for a lot of damage?

I don't play a warrior but you can blocked ranged can't you? I'm almost positive. my bad I guess.

You can block ranged attacks. You cant block concussive shot however.

Hmmmm I feel like I have blocked a few on my pally though... had my finger on HoF keybind, jumping for the CS hit and I could sware it said block and I was homefree. Might of been a miss i didn't see with a blocked white right after... idk

I am 100% sure of both of those. Its not hard to test with a warrior and shield block.

1 block value at 19 still beats, what was it.. like .1 dodge?

Plus if you're a good FC it won't really matter in the end... they shouldn't be on you for very long at all if they get to you. And as far as premading goes it doesn't make a difference imo

Its 1 block, I don't wanna be like some of the other "block obsessed" warriors...and this was "BoA bow V.S. Throat Piercers" not "TP V.S. TBD".

boa bow is out of the question then obviously... get on topic

bow is good until you need to interrupt a bandage, which the bow sucks at. so you need a throw macro and a thrown weapon. It only takes one dart to stop a bandage, after which just go back to the bow.

What else do you want to know?

Anytime :)
