Imo the more important part:

There are many fallacies in this thread. They include:



1) Because a twink mentioned the issue, it can't be valid.

2) Because some players laugh at Ret, it's not fair to nerf them.

3) Because we nerfed Conflagrate quickly, it's not fair to do anything but also nerf Exorcism quickly.

4) It's okay to force Ret to respec to Holy or Prot for PvE since we forced Destro to respec Affliction for PvE.

5) "Everyone" agrees Ret is terrible in PvE,

6) "Everyone" agrees Ret is terrible in PvP.

7) "Everyone" agrees Ret is overpowered in PvP.



I look forward to the many quotes that include the above without my saying "We think these are fallacies." :)

sounds like exo may get a range nerf...if any.

then we will be HoJed and then killed by judge+autohit+SoCproc+exo.
 
Honestly, I am thinking of quitting WoW purely because of Exorcism.



It has ruined 29 and 39 brackets. I can only imagine how bad 49 is now. I've been stunlocked 100-0 by paladins so many times now it's not even funny.
 
I would not be so hasty yet, despite popular opinion, Blizz does try to listen to its customers

with HoW they have an additional instant finisher. and think of a shockadin.

Im hybrid affliction/Demo, and I've had no trouble all day with paladins. I did earlier today as pure affliction, but with the new Soul Link glyph I'm on EZ street.



Oh, and I'm only 38!

I should of deleted the scoreboard from that screenshot... The main focus should be the 1470+ crit exorcism and tbh, i wasnt even trying. Thats just self buffed with zerk, if i had kings/pots/ect... Well you get the picture.



PS. Ive crit exor for well over 1.5k and my gear isnt BiS by a long shot.

Sorry but your team seems to be superior to their team. Dotting up people while others are in melee combat doesn't make you or your class good against ret pallies.

Only an idiot wouldn't see how OP they are right now. 39's are now paladin, hunter, rogue when prior to 3.1 all classes and specs were viable.



Please tell me how stunlock 100-0 is fun, and worth my continued payment to Blizzard. I could level my 29 paladin to 39 and melt faces, but wtf would that prove?



This latest shit is the proverbial last straw on the camel's back.

I've specced max migration (31% reduction before armour, 52% after armour) and I'm struggling to take down Paladins effectively. I can survive the initial burst quite well... I'm just such a tank I can't deal any effective damage to them :(

I think he meant why quit the entire game because of one problem in one aspect. I've been casually raiding, while getting gear for my 39 paly to go ret. >.>



Also, Hotpockets, I'm going to try to find a place on the official forums to link your video.

The 2nd screenshot shows even teams. 3 of the top 4 are palidins, all twinks, and none has any notable kills or damage. Either the twink paladins are yet to fully make use of their newfound OPness, or the claims don't hold that well in the 39 bracket.



I have 29% armor reduction and then a further 25% damage reduction in soul link, plus paladins provide a good source of healing for my felhunter to eat. They're not killing me anymore than anyone else is. If I have too I healthstone through any initial hurt and i'll also get an early heal from my felhunter (crits for 600 at my level).



Just my personal experience so far. And teh 49 paladin vid posted does show a different story I agree.

Go ahead Jadyn, people who participate in the lower brackets and/or are concerned about them need to see it. Please link me the topic though, I'm curious as to what people have to say about it. :p
 
If i manage a full stunlock on a 2500hp ret paladin, i lose 40% of my 2500hp from the aura alone. That should give you an idea of how OP they are.
 
had some BGs yesterday and it was no fun at all. 30-40% belfpallys all the time teamed up with some twink rogues/hunters and healers.

they farmed the GY for 3 games in a row with 3 rets...



well, it was pug, but should pugs be like this?

i was an untwinked, but good geared mage.
 
Im sorry to harp on about this, but ive (the lock) been seeking out ret paladins all day in every kind of encounter i can think if. I even 1v1'd a twink ret paladin in Arena (and won).



There is no evidence that I can see they are OP in the overall scheme of things. Sure they may have destoryed a non twinked mage, but I can do that in literally seconds. I just finished tonight on a 1hr10min marathon WSG. The teams were perfectly balanced, with loads of twinks. It was a tough & close game, with a good share of twink ret paladins. And guess who topped the board in both kills and damage? No not me, another Lock (pure affliction specced). A hunter was 2nd, and I was 3rd. To give an idea i managed 77k healing. Keep in mind Im still 38, and down about 60-70sp that ill get when i actually level my professions, equip my green lens, and put on my 39 enchanted bracers.



I just cannot see it.
