BiS Tank necklace. Debate.

So like in the other thread, I've come to bit of a crossroad where what I think don't match the general item on profiles etc.

This time it's the necklace I'm quite unsure of. Thoughts?
Shriveled Troll Heart - Item - World of Warcraft vs Necklace of the Dark Blaze - Item - World of Warcraft

Necklace of the Dark Blaze
+6 Strength
+11 Stamina
+7 Dodge
+4 Expertise

Shriveled Troll Heart
+5 Strength
+12 Stamina
+5 Hit

So:
1 str 7 dodge 4 expertise vs 1 stam 5 hit.

Thoughts? :)

This will be my last saying for tonight - as I'm heading out for Christmas!

Best regards,
Silvey

I use dark blaze. Troll heart is just a carry over from cataclysm. Expertise is way more important than hit due to it's rarity, and dodge is always good. It's the same thing as with polished legplates of valor vs. burnished legplates of might. Hit and parry are good stats, but expertise is so precious that I ignore about them. There's also no difference between the stamina of both pants by the way.

Dodge and exp r both something that most tanks lack.

Dark blaze all the way.

CTA and HP are the most valuable stats for a tank. When MoP dropped and the change to Rend happened, Hit was no longer a huge necessity and HP and CTA became even bigger ones due to the buff. Expertise may be good but with things like TC being unable to miss, the necklace, for me, comes down to HP vs Dodge (and 0.04% Parry). 1 Stamina is about 12.5HP (Spec + Fort). It seems like Dodge might actually be the clear winner here, however I have been avoiding that stat overall because of how fast it scales down. I may have to look into this necklace again though.

Ah Thirk you do know that they reverted that change in a recent hot fix :) Mobs now hit same damage as back in Cata :)

Really? :(

That's actually very disappointing, but it means MC should be no trouble at all now.
