Bis prot war

Hmm you alli arent you? PM shft and get his wars armory. I know it's decently geared

http://chardev.org/?profile=308669

This is my char dev for alliance prot war. I think the stam cape and belt are BiS because vengence will more then make up for the tiny bit of STR that you get of the other cloacks PLUS let you live longer meaning more ToT hopefully

Aye Resil> parry imo all day

And drunk Like i said for prot i would go all survivability as vengence will make up for the rest easy

Isn't Budson Prot? He's ally and probably the best prot war around in general, He made a topic about taking a break and posted his armory in it.

And Like Ark said, Passive Mitigation > Active Mitigation

I'm going to attempt to educate you noobzorz =P

The scenario is as follows, you the Prot Warriot FC are holding the flag, the debuff is up to, we'll say 5 stacks. That means +50% dmg taken, now enter random melee guy who swings at you, you went the resil route and after the 50% dmg is added, your resil subtracts x amount of dmg. Now lets say you went the way of parry, he swings you parry, how much dmg do you take? Let me answer that for you, exactly 0, and dodge works the same way. After a certain point avoidance is > than mitigation. Take it even further, lets say 10 stacks, that's 100% dmg increase, parry and dodge become even more valuable than resil, armor, and blanket dmg reduction.

Let me educate you back sir. I would much rather have that x amount of damage reduction throught the ENTIRE BATTLE rather then that one SMALL chance that I might get a lucky RNG with my 8% dodge or 6% parry and make a rogue miss his white hit.

I say again Resil > Parry. Just because they're rolling prot doesn't mean they're FCing, I know several that hang out in base vengence pool with LoS then 2 shot EFCs.

I feel silly now.

And Yeah, just because you roll prot doesn't mean you FC. Vengeance stacks as high as 150~ Atp in this bracket. I dabble in a bit of everything on my paladin myself. I'll get iron man in matches, or I'll get 15+ kb's with 13,000 damage getting 500 Damage Avenger's Shields off. That's the beauty of Hybrids and Sub Hybrids, passively choosing your play styles without changing gear or specs.

I was debating about this all day to myself... And thanks to a few helpers along the way I realized that my playstyle wasn't really FC/defensive prot. but more of take a beating till I can rage dump with full vengeance style... I went with crit shoulders haha

The right choice. Offensive stats >>> Defensive stats.

Allow me to educate both of you. (I realize Ark was siding with resil)... Sure parry is nice, and resil is nice too. But would you rather be protected some from melee damage (parry) or be protected from the caster that's about to ruin your day? Resil is better all around than being able to (maybe) parry the (maybe) melee class thats come to kill you.

Not educating me just reiterating my point, thanks though

Considering I play primarily Horde, all I face all day is eyepatch wearing cyclops (rogue / Hunter / Pally, splash of Warrior), therefore Parry > Resil. Let's just agree to disagree =D <==== Notice the playful emote here, just like above where I said let me educate you >_<

Parry #1 for Horde for sure. He only runs with premades so he has healers. That means being able to parry as he moves/LoS's is a lot more important. Movement negates casters.
