BiS Holy Pal Rings + Bracers

  • Just a quick question - what are people's opinions on the BiS rings and bracers for a 24 holy paladin (assuming full gnomer access and factioned)...

    For rings, you're looking at:
    Gnomer of the Eagle
    Gnomer of Int
    Yorgen's Boon

    For bracers:
    Uninsured Bracers
    Gnomer of the Eagle
    Gnomer of Int

Please don't go on about playstyle etc., I want your opinions. I think currently Hpals value crit > haste > int in their current state. It's also weighing this vs. your loss of stamina from pursuing these stats too much. Let me know if I'm wrong, I'm interested in your thoughts!

    Yorgen + Eagle for rings
    Eagle bracer

Crit from ring is good but resistance somewhat outways it on bracers

I like yorgen's boon x 2 & uninsured bracers. but thats just me.

Can't be done without some sort of exploit. I use stillwaters signet and yorgen's boon on my priest.

It really depends on what you want to do with the character. But since you don't want playstyle talk, just make a straw poll for us to vote on.. The stupid bickering won't help you make a decision.

    I vote:
    Charged Gear of the Owl
    Yorgen Boon
    Emissary Cuffs of the Owl

3 owl rings in a row last night.. No healer in the group tho QQ.

I'd also vote Owl over Eagle as unless you desperately need the extra 5stam the regen would be more beneficial. Maybe not for druid or pala using mana to chest but defo on priest if you play offensively.

With my balance set I run with double Argas and Uninsured Bracers.
So many options... And you have not even touched on enchants yet.
I may swap to dread pirate ring come WoD depending on scaling. Plus rings may be able to be enchanted for lowbies.
    Good lluck with your choices.

I'd take Eagle rings over Argas any day. The resistance can be gamebreaking; a resisted sheep, arcane shot dmg migation etc

Thnx for the replies, I agree that in a wargame situation with no drinks/pots a certain level of spirit is needed so you're not constantly OOMing...crit is pointless if you're OOM.
I'd go for double owls + owl bracers. Slightly off topic, but as a pure healer in a premade scenario would even more spirit be appropriate? I'm thinking about using the brilliant spellthread, the scryer shoulder spirit/int and subbing out a few pieces of gear with spirit alternatives. When there's usually only 2 resto huts and probably 1 that's close depending on where you are in the gulch as the only means of mana regen, I think that this would be the way to go?

A quick question, what should the current stat priority be for hpals? I think crit is preferred but is a certain level of haste ~10% recommended? (assuming your happy with your current mana regen situation)

Remember that for premades a certian amount of HP is required as well, like minimum 2.2k, or else you'll be able to get oneshot by any1

How burst is today, I always stamina stack my heals, 3,000 minimum health before scaling and no less than 210-220 spell power before scaling. That is why I run with double Argas, just that little bit of extra stamina. I can always quaff a mana pot if I get low on mana or switch to the weapon with Jade Spirit enchant to get my mana back.
It just depends on what you want to do, I like to stay alive and could care less about being on the top of the healing charts. Charts are but just a fleeting moment in time I prefer to fight mid, prefer the large clashes at flags in Arathi Basin and to dispel my team mates. I also run solo. You have to have a large health pool in order to do all that.
All of this is wht making a lowbie so much fun. There so much more to it than end game than more people realize. End game is cookie cutter. Plug your toon into MR. Robot and go from there. We can't do that. Too many variables.
Have fun gearing your toon! That is half of the fun.
