BiS 80 PvP Resto sham

As title states, I was curious as to whether anyone has a 80 resto pvp sham chardev. Is it worth taking 2 parts from 2 wrathful sets for the resil bonus or does the higher stats from cata outweigh the resil?

I dont personally pvp but to answer your last question of what I do know



Resil will almost definitely beat any stat. Now if your fighing a level 84 in a complete resil set...your just screwed all around if they arent a complete noob. They're base stats are huge.



If your doing arenas with only level 80's I'd take resil & maybe a couple cata rings and off pieces



If your doing bg's I'd just say fml and not do them at all...to many people above 80

Recently I spent quite some time working on an 80 PvP Resto Shaman profile. I tried lots of combinations of resi/cata gear:

- No Resi

- 2p Wrathful

- 2p Wrathful + Gems

- 4p Wrathful

- 4p Wrathful + Gems

- 2x2p Wrathful

- 2x2p Wrathful + Gems

- 2x2p Wrathful + Gems + Boots



The 2p Wrathful has the biggest resi gain per value of other stats lost. Whichever profile you choose, you'd probably wanna replace the Witching Hourglass with the Wrathful insignia.

From experience, resto shammies tend to be more vunerable to burst damage (Cata geared frost DK + 5 sec strangulate = dead resto shammy).



Are you gonna try an elemental offspec? Looks like they're getting some pretty nice buffs next patch (90% haste for 6secs after flame shock is dispelled, glyph to allow casting of lightning bolt whilst moving, thunderstorm adds a slow to the enemies it hits).

fmage/spriest or fmage/rogue are impossible ..rest is np
