I never use satchel gear, that would be stupid and it would be obvious with the amount of HP id have. I don't need to use them, but the game is about having fun and if im alone vs a horde D i wouldn't even say it balances the odds anywhere near out by using them seeing as horde always have atleast 3 healers on D and more often than not a DPS. If alliance could improve, there would never be a need nor temptation to consider using anything other than the usual BiS gear.

It's okay, as long as you carry the flag you effectively remove the horde melee dps from the game until 4 stacks.

Idk with either, but they que with way too many healers compared to alliance, 2 bgs with 5 healers is abit over the top imo
