BG Wargames (14 test completed)

You're allowing Dungeon Quests ?
Yes

Mialo, I am interested in this part. Did you have more specifics on how it would work?
Item X with 2 Stam - 2 Int. Item Y with 4 Stam. > Take Y.
4 stats on both. Take the one with most Stam. Pretty obvious.

Item A with 5 Stam - 1 Stre. Item B with 3 Stam - 3 Strength. > Take A.
Again. 6 stats on both. Easy taker. One with the most Stam.

Item C with 4 Stam - 5 Spi - 3 Int. Item D with 7 stam - 3 Int. > Take C.
This one is actually harder. 12 stats (4 stam) against 10 stats (7 stam). If an item has 20% more stats, this item is allowed over any other Stamina item.

Hm I had some plans drawn up but I thought without dungeon quests. :/ Must redo.

One of the first problems I get with the Stam rule: What should I take?

In the second gearset you have Slippers of Unturned Loyalties.

I tested a warrior on that silverpine quest chain, avoiding all experience possible and the entire chain got me a few bars over 19.

Not sure if its possible to fit that in with all the other gear.

During the 14's Test I quickly realized it was more about strategy, teamwork, and skill than gear. All leather wearers had the same, cloth the same, etc ... I'm not understanding the purpose of using gear from dungeon quests. Wouldn't a standard set of regular quest gear, including PvP gear, be more suited ? It's easily obtainable by all and gives a level playing field.

This is also a possibility, it would allow everyone to stamina stack and be hit capped.

nonono dont make it too complicated....
we dont need to be hit capped or anything in that matter
when we did lvl 14 wargames, the only problem i saw was rogues almost oneshoting everything but since rogues are very weak after that ambush (and since there are no NE rogues for double ambush) rogues should be allowed with no regulations.

Like cryptease mentioned before, it is more about teamwork, strats, and skill than gear. Isnt that the whole point of this wargames bg thing? if we want to be geared to bg, why not premade or pug? I say that white gear are fine the way they are right now. We just need more people to play with.

My suggest is that, like i said before, we just use all the best possible white gear (and for the profession, maybe do mining and herb to reduce the rogue ambush OPness) and pvp trinket. (and white gear armor helps reduce the ambush OPness as well)

All white gear is simple but by adding some quest gear we can make it better quality.

If someone is leveling from 1 to 19, they might as well pick up some quest gear along the way.

We can still keep it simple and yet everyone would be hit capped and have a bit more stamina.

For example each Rogue could have the exact same gear and we write a Rogue guide so while leveling up people just follow the quest guide and by the time they hit 19 they will be fully geared and ready to PvP.

Thoughts?

This is a possibility, here is a caster set that is obtained only by Northern Barrens quest and PvP vendor.

chardev 9

Hybrid classes would probably need 2 sets though, like a Feral Druid and Caster Druid.

thinking of joining when is the next one just made a priest an Arie Peak at lv 8 now not on armory yet but the name is Hunterbait

You can't go with White gear only. Classes which get improved damage from stats are getting screwed over.

Mialo, could you give me an example of 2 gear sets for the same Class?

I would like to see what you had in mind.

In chat we discussed choosing 2 int / 2 sta instead of 5 sta.

Would these 2 sets have a big stat difference or just a few items swapped?

Think you caught me IG on my druid (Silkylips) I'm actually kinda interested in that, just dunno what to roll between mage and elem sham :) Tell me about it!
