After browsing the wow armory, the page was suddenly redirected to a page called rootscan. It mimicked the my computer screen ad attempted to install a virus. Just beware guys very convincing.

This happened to me also. Very annoying.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? I see no virus or gold adds on eu.wowarmory.com...

Where about is it supposed to be?

Wow... this shit happened to me while browsing the WoW forums. Definitely a malicious ad they have.

It's not a virus itself, but it did ask to download sketchy .exe's and kept popping up with windows.

I lol'ed at how they recreated My Computer on the site. I'll bet that will actually fool a lot of people, sadly.

No seriously. To this day I have yet to experience a virus on any of my macs. The same cannot be said for my PC, and the frequent anti-virus updates required on a PC get annoying.

I have never had a virus or malware of any sorts on my PC, and I do not use any anti-virus software. I hardly even update windows very often.

It's all about common sense practices.

Do you ever use the macs for anything other than $1200 door stops?

Norten is bad guys. Just throwing that handy piece of info out to those of you getting it. ;3

Any anti virus you have to pay for is bad, hell if you have a friend who knows CS: III you don't even need an antivirus

But to be on the safe side I use Nod32
