Beware of Scammers * Please read*

Didn't even think of that, yeah that's true. I guess, to be 100% sure of not getting real-id scammed, would be to not use the real-id feature ;)

Surprisingly, many of the 19 twinks in the US have switched to battletag ever since the hackings started. It was quite a wake up call.

Update- Blizzard contacted me saying they reviewed the chat log between me and this Blizzerror guy and said that he was in violation have dealt with the issue and that I can continue to play worry free. Hopefully this guy has been caught and is now dealing with a horrible attempt of hacking someone.

See you in the Gulch!
Willy

No, no and no. Do you really think it's THAT easy to "hack" someone's account as a result of just knowing the name of one character? If that were the case, no person's account on TI would be safe. All of you wigging out over this have no idea how internet security works. It's not nearly as simple as you see in Hollywood on shows like CSI and crap like that where these goons just fire up some fancy looking UI with boops and beeps and in seconds they're into a secure database. It doesn't work that way. These people aren't hacking anything on Blizzard's side. Aside from some idiot falling for a keylogger or RAT type application stealth install or straight up giving out account information, nobody is going to gain access to your account. I feel like this fear mongering is getting out of control, I should do PSAs on this stuff.

Also, I have pretty good reason to believe that Gorehunter is the "hacker" or is at least affiliated with him. He just joined this month, and his recent viewing history shows inquiries toward buying other characters and accounts, likely the same method used to gain access to Sneaky's account.

no actually i am new because my ti got scammed to as it was linked to my email and he did hack me from knowing my toons name are you trying to tell me im wrong when i know idiot i never give out my email andn ever have ever i havnt give out any information only my battletag a couple of days ago and actually it is possible for him to do so
