Best/Most fast Way to farm "Disgusting Oozeling"

Domunique

Legend
Now im really bored waiting for MoP (and pvp ques) and I don't achieve hunt anymore so yeh, I want to farm for this in my spare time, Im going to link all the areas and mobs that drop the "oozing bag" and I want you guys to tell me the best way or fastest way to farm this item. (I know itl take ages either way).

In Ashenvale I can kill:
"Rotting slime" - (Rotting Slime - NPC - World of Warcraft)

In Hillsbrad Foothills:
"Blight Slime" - (Blight Slime - NPC - World of Warcraft)
" Angry Blight Slime" - (Angry Blight Slime - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Chet the Slime Breeder" - (Chet the Slime-Breeder - NPC - World of Warcraft)

In Northern Barrens I can kill:
"Sludge Anomaly" - (Sludge Anomaly - NPC - World of Warcraft)

In Stonetalon Mountains I can kill:
"Sap Beast" - (Sap Beast - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Corrupted Sap beast" - (Corrupted Sap Beast - NPC - World of Warcraft)

In The Hinterlands I can kill:
"Green Sludge" - (Green Sludge - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"The Reak" - (The Reak - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Jade Ooze" - (Jade Ooze - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"The Direglob" - (The Direglob - NPC - World of Warcraft)

In Westfall I can kill:
"Chasm Slime"- (Chasm Slime - NPC - World of Warcraft)

In Wetlands I can kill:
"Silty Oozeling" - (Silty Oozeling - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Slavering Ooze" - (Slavering Ooze - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Black Ooze" - (Black Ooze - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Sludgin" - (Sludginn - NPC - World of Warcraft)
"Smouldering Ooze" - (Smouldering Ooze - NPC - World of Warcraft)

So yeh, Considering spawn times and the quantity of mobs, and the % drop rate for an "oozling bag" (Oozing Bag - Item - World of Warcraft), What do you guys think? what area/mob should I farm best for attaining a "disgusting oozeling" (Disgusting Oozeling - Item - World of Warcraft). Keep in mind im no tank... im a rogue so 1v1ing is my thing I cant mass kill mobs my level too well. thankyou :)

Also I ONLY linked mobs that are killable by f2p accounts ALONE, as I am not getting assistance from some lvl 85 or anything. if so I would of linked lvl 50 mobs from un goro crater ect with a higher drop chance.

I'd say Chasm Slime if you absolutely want to do this. Low level, easy to kill, enough spawns in a smallish area, and neutral mobs, so you can afk if you want. Highest drop-rate among the ones you listed and a reasonable amount of kills going into the droprate calculation (69738, with 103 drops).

The lower level oozes you kill, the lower chances are to get Oozing Bags. I have 0 trouble killing lvl 55 oozes on a hunter I geared specifically for this purpose. Then it is as simple as making a group with your farming hunter and your twink. That being said, another key to the strategy I made was being horde and using the town to your advantage. Assuming you are farming it on your main, this will make it harder to do oozes with no place to take shelter in.

I'd also like to add, however, that the oozes are pickpocketable and that may prove to be a fast option. Whereas killing something like Chasm Slimes gives you a bag dr of 1/1000 and an additional >2% drop rate on the pet out of the bag.

The lvl 55 Oozes, Shifting Mireglobs give a 9% chance to drop a bag, an then of course the chance to get a pet out of that is like 1.6%. I have never tried to pickpocket these on my rogue, and tbh idk if evasion + other cooldowns would provide you with the ability to kill one. Another thing: they are neutral mobs, so you can pickpocket and run, or even pickpocket and meld and they will reset with aggroing back to you immediately. The only problem you are going to run into is a suitable place to do this. I personally don't know if there is a spot where you can pickpocket a slime without aggroing other mobs. This is where the hunter can come in if you dont have someone who can make you a group. Have the hunter kill the hostile mobs and then pickpocket with your rogue.

Of course, as this is untested in this manner, idk how it will work out in practice. But good luck :]

I just took my rogue out to Swamp of Sorrows try this out. With 11% hit I missed pickpocketing four mobs and got killed by each one. The hostiles weren't much of a problem. Anytime one did aggro I just popped sprint and ducked out, but if you watch the surroundings you should be fine w/o aggroing them. I just couldn't actually land a pickpocket on any of the oozes for it to seem feasible.

Personally by the time I can kill one mob from swamp of sorrows, I can kill like 10 to 20 mobs lvl 20ish in wetlands, without having to worry about running/dieing or repairing my armor alot. Doesn't that even out my % chance?

No, 9% drop rate off the 55s, .1% drop rate off the weak mobs. You'd need to kill like 900 in the time it takes you to kill one to even out. I think making a hit hunter is your best shot. Your rogue is also jacked up in hit rating gear, so pickpocket might be worth trying too.

pretty much
just go for the leather hit gear rouges use/keeshans dagger(or grand staff of jordan) and charmed ancient bone bow

you shouldnt miss on them...ever. Now when they get lvl 70 though...whole different story and a whole different method of kiting is required

Hi, I'm Grokthag from Hyjal EU. I was farming for Cat Carrier (Black Tabby) in Hillsbrad when i saw your thread. I didn't know that we can get the oozing bag without killing high-level mobs, then I tried to kill the blight slimes to farm the cat and the oozeling at the same time. Finally, after 2335 slimes and 4 bags, I get my own disgusting oozeling ! (but still no cat after 5k mobs killed :/ ) Keep on trying !

Whoa!, fkn oath dax, congratulations, I might start on the blight slimes then :)

Random drops are random.

To put this into Dax perspective:

I received two Black Tabby's one right after another not even trying to get the pet.
