Maybe different class/spec/faction needs to be taken into account.

I find GSoJ far less useful than it once was OVERALL since the rune of duty change and BG lvl adjustments.

And resil makes me sad now /tear.

I think you mean Rune of Perfection, right?

I have to agree with you. It only makes sense to have a specific build and then look items up for a maybe better build. Do the maths

Just an example:

1) You want to have a haste stacking mage:
With GSoJ + DPR + Slippers of unturned you end up with 16 Hit which is ok (+1 over hitcap).
But you have 2 free trinket slots for 2x haste trinket

2) If you want to stack int as mage:
With Rune of Perfection + DPR you end up with 15 hit (hitcapped).
You can use DHC and Corpse Rompers and gain a lot more Int and crit compared to Version 1

Erm... I think the bottom line is there's more than one way to hit the cap haha. Sorry I didn't mean to cause any arguments just curious. I think however you reach the cap depends how much you're willing to juggle your other stats.
