Best DPS class?

Anyone know for PVE what class can do the most dps....or or possibly give a ranked order of what class can do more then other classes... Or any thoughts?

Uh, frost mages are borderline op in molten core, past that warriors seem to be pretty up there. Thats all I've seen so far. Obviously if a druid, warrior, or paladin has sulfuras...yeah...gg

Single target: Disc Priest, my friend reaches easely 5-7k dps
Multi target: Demonology Warlock, my dps record is in BWL just after flamegor at 16k dps

thats why pve is senseless now - better play on a private server for a real challenge

Disc is good, can get about 2k-3k on bosses (not 7k though as mentioned above, in any normal raid composition). Well maybe if you use TBC gear ^^.

Warlocks are great on Chromaggus, I've seen a warlock actually do 8K DPS there (in classic gear). However warlocks in Molten Core are horrible because of all the fire-resistant mobs.

Prot warriors do insane damage at the moment, possibly the highest overall DPS, considering Disc priests also should heal

Prot warr crits 20k shield slam. Warriors pretty good.

Last raid, warlocks and prot warriors seemed to do best business.

Tried Arms a bit, it's pretty nice, not sure what it can do in raids.

No stale, without TBC gear. Just get herbalism 450, some good gear and stack up crit with exilirs and raid buffs.

I'll believe it when I see it So far the highest I've seen was Thorkaa and Gredunza with 8k-9k on Chromaggus, but way less than that on trash.

As a survival hunter crutching on quad explosive shots, I always end up top of Damage charts. You can check my hunters set-up in my sig. He is BiS (without T3) and hit capped.
I've done lots of 60 only raiding, rarely get beat by anything other than prot warriors (only as of 5.2).

Without gems / TBC enchants and gear, or bonus's from professions, Hunters, Rogues, and Feral Druids usually top the charts in our raids. My hunter isn't BiS and can usually top the charts as BM.
