Didn't have recount on at the time but the whole combat log pretty much looked like this;

Need a neck piece, didn't feel like leveling JC. I'm going to change the bracers to Most Trusted and get Green Tinted goggles for hit cap. I'll only lose 3 crit rating which can be made up for an almost even trade if I get 2x Stendel's Wedding Bands, I'd lose 20 health and gain 1 crit overall.

If it's this good in 5.1 I can't wait until 5.2.

What'cha think?

I've been thinking of making a warrior like that, only a little more like chardev 9

I can see it being really good, although I think str gear might be better if overpower is an auto-crit.

The main attraction is the rage generation, almost all of my mortal strikes crit, so for almost every time I MS I get a slam. I have more rage than I know what to do with so my active damage increases by 30% alone just because you're not waiting to attack anymore. I've been pooling rage and unleashing a flurry of 200-393 damage slams when my enemies get at around 60% health and It's a guaranteed kill.

Using this build I've always ended game in the top 5 in damage with 7-12 killing blows and 1-3 deaths just because I felt like a god and was getting tunnel vision/careless.

I have also been wanting to try that out, I bet you are having tremendous amounts of fun, as I can usually easily top damage with a non-crit warrior.

No offense, but if you wanna make a thread about a "crit twink" at least gear.

20% ?

It's immensely fun. I suggest everyone that currently enjoys warrior try this build at least once just to see if it fits into your play-style.

76 Strength is pretty low, how do abilities fare if they won't crit?!

Pretty well, because of the time between Mortal Strikes (every 6 seconds) it has a great chance of critting, and crits more than my other abilities. When two of my Mortal Strikes Crit in a row, It's basically putting it on a 3 second cool down because in theory I'm generating twice as much rage from it. My damage overall is probably 20% lower than it would be, but I'm Slamming more often and most of those Slams are crits, so theoretically you could say My damage over all is probably 20% higher than it would be, given the "BiS" set we know today.

I also retain 1560~ HP. So it doesn't hamper my survivability. I thought the lower armor would hit me hard, but the only melee class I can't handle is Rogue and that's going to change in 5.2 when warriors are rogue killers. I can win the DPS race against other Warriors and Protection Paladins 1v1. When I fight Protection Paladins they don't really have a chance to retaliate if I pool rage. When they hit 50%-60% health I dump 90 rage on them with Slam>Slam>Execute and that's a 1200-1400 damage combo. They only survive if they have LOH or Divine Protection up, but you'd be surprised at their reaction time because they don't expect this from warriors in this bracket. They try to Flash of Light first and before they can get the cast off they're usually dead.

here u go if you wanna read some of the reasoning that was done in the thread of str vs crit.

I don't get it o_O, they're all pretty much making the same points I'm making. The main reason I'm putting this here and doing these tests is because Warrior isn't really considered a serious DPS class in this bracket, but more of debuff/utility. But from what I've seen this morning Warrior can stand toe-to-toe with other DPS classes like Prot.

Get that dread pirate ring dawg. But definitely pretty sweet.
and stendels wedding band :)

I just got stendel's this morning and I'll work on dread pirate this weekend! I threw this set together in the past 30~ hours so it's shoddy at the moment.

No offense, but if you wanna make a thread about a "crit twink" at least gear.

20% ?

Check Wowhead. Those are the top tier Crit items in the bracket. I haven't seen you around here are you even f2p? The maximum crit% you can get in this bracket on a warrior is 21-22% check the chardev Verh posted, its pretty much crit BIS for warrior and it's very similar to mine as far as the crit pieces go. This character was pretty much thrown together yesterday and the night before. I still need rings and skinning. Probably black wolf bracers for the HP increase.

might be better if overpower is an auto-crit.

Overpower's going to have a 60% additional chance to crit. So with a warrior crit set that's 82% chance to crit with an ability that costs only 10 rage, ignores mitigation, has virtually no CD depending on your targets mitigation and when you use Mortal Strike and You can stack it up to 5 times.

The burst is going to be ridiculous next patch, and with scaling and the other buffs this class is going to have the life breathed back into it.

My only regret is that I've been playing f2p warriors for 2 years and everyone's going to be shouting "LOL NOOB FLAVOR OF THE MONTH" from the mountain tops.

This is interesting, but roll a worgen :p 1% extra crit :D
I would, just for the racial, but Alliance queues are atrocious. And I'd rather face Sanctuary premades because they don't roll full Shadow Priest/Prot Pally premades and I've actually been on teams and beaten Sancuary premades as opposed to Duo's groups who just squat and piss on your graveyard for 22 minutes.

And I think worgens are ugly. X3

I just noticed overpower hits for 105% wep damage, which means it will crit for around 100. I don't think wars will become fotm tbh.

Yeah, I was excited earlier, I doubt they'll be FOTM, but I have seen a lot of them lately and seeing as the patch can't be more than 3 weeks away I'd consider us in pre-patch mode. People are gearing in for warrior changes, I see at least three of them in every match.

Balancing str and crit would be more effective and I cap spells for charge stun, but Im just weird

In the process of hit capping. I'm leveling engineering today for goggles and getting the dread pirate ring on Sunday. That should hit cap me against 20's and when scaling comes in 5.2 the hit cap against 20's and 24's will be the same so I'm not going to shoot for higher than 3%.

Enrage makes you gain 10 rage on MS Crits. In my opinion, the 10-14 damage increase I'd gain from balancing Str and Crit is hardly noticeable when you're generating twice as much rage from MS 70% of the time and most of your attacks Crit all the time which also makes up for the DPS loss you get for going full Crit.

I'm probably just being biased though because I've been enjoying this build so much. At times it can feel sluggish but when it's rewarding (and it is) it really shines.

Here the other team pretty much had perfect composition. It was close a few times with caps and we didn't farm, another crit build run. Should get even better stats when I'm hit capped :p

Hunter on our team only came ahead of me because he was a 24 and farming mid the entire time while me and Swelly capped flags and destroyed people.
