battle dot net and dual boxing question

I am wondering what will happen if I place all of my accounts under one battle dot net account. Will I still be able to dual box using them?

Haven't tried yet, but i run on 2 different battle.net accounts, and that works out fine. But if you put them into one i'm not sure

You can have multiply accounts under the same Battle.net account.

You will still be able to be logged on every individual account with one character per account.

Discovered this while logging on a mates 2nd account, while he was on his own account.

so only one username instead of multiple usernames and password...

seems to me like it will be easier to hack away accounts in the future !

damn blizzard forcing me to use that authenticator of theirs.

When you log-in, you use the battle-net account:

slurry@ura.com

Then it brings up a box with all the names of the linked accounts, where you can select the one you want to log-in with.

I put two of my accounts on my first Battlenet account to test it and it works dual-boxing in windowed mode on the same PC fine. You end up with multiple windowed clients just like before but instead you use a single username/login and then select the account (still only 1 char per account at a time).

That being said, for multiple reasons, I would like to do single one-to-one battle.net to WoW account mappings for any others that I do. I would still put my name spelled the same on each account so that I could transfer characters between my accounts.

My only concern would be if they later only allow character transfers between wow accounts that are on the same battle.net account.

Anyone know if Blizz's direction is to only allow character moves between wow accounts that are on the same battle.net account?

We ca only wait, or have someone confront them with the question.

Encouraged by the news above, I merged my three accounts under one battle.net account. I was able to dual box.

Something I did not expect is that, once you create/merge accounts, character transfers are limited for 30 days so you can only transfer toons between accounts within the battle.net account. Works out for me, but others might want to know.

battle.net accounts

when you merge an account to a battle.net account it changes all of the info to the info of the battle.net account.

This allows for you to be able to transfer characters between the accounts after the merge happens. so if you ever wanted certain BOA items on one of ur accounts, as long as one of them is un merged its still possible. something to think about if you want to make happen with accounts if they have BOA pets/gear.

As far as duel boxing I can't say from personal experience but I'll know soon enough when I merge 2 more accounts to my battle.net account. I'm hoping that as soon as you have more than 1 account on ur battle.net account that when you log in the first option that you will see is which account to log into rather than just logging into the last character that u were on thus DC'ing ur 1st box. I'll be experimenting with this a lot, as I multibox quite a bit. This could also affect hotlogging durations.

Battle.net D boxing GtG

plz excuse the double post, an update to yesterday's post.

Last night I Transferred Secclusion onto my other account which I just merged with my battle.net besides getting 3 more Feats of Strength for the Collector's pets, I tested dual boxing. There were no issues, When you log in the 1st time for a given window it will ask you which license(Account) you want to log onto after you put your battle.net info in. If you log off and have remember account checked it will even have an additional drop down menu to select the account prior to logging in so you don't have to make the choice after logging in the second time. This is good news If you still need to hot log toons for some reason. I'm looking forward to being able to dual box with my main and my twink now without having to hot log or using a toon that I'm less comfortable with.
