Banked XP

Hello, I have a question regarding banked XP

I have around 110% of stored xp on my druid. I'm scared to subscribe to wow now because I'm worried my character will automatically level up.

How does it work? When I sub do I level up instantly or do I need to log into my character when subbed to level up?

I don't know the answer to your specific question (I'm guessing you have to actually log into that character). However I would suggest purchasing game time on another account linked to your battlen.net account. This is the way I have mine set up so that those characters that have banked experience don't accidentally get leveled up. You have everything shared now between accounts that are under the same battle.net account (warband bank etc.) But that will give you separation from those characters that have banked experience when you want to buy game time.
