Balance Druid: 10 or 12?

Hey guys, I am usually on the (1-9) forum because I have level one twinked in the past, but because of the Goldshire times with Egg, I decided to make a 10 twink (or two or three...) I was doing some PvE at ten and I dinged, I completely forgot to lock exp like the idiot I am. Egg suggested going to level 12 for Starsurge. I have been at level 12 now but Starsurge isn't that big of a difference over Starfire. It only hits for about 50 more but has a shorter cast time. My stats (haste, crit, etc) hurt a little bit because I'm level twelve but not too much. I don't have any insane gear that I need to farm for hours foor yet so I am fine with restarting a character and leveling him to ten again. However I wanted to take it to the real ten twink experts, should I go for 12 or 10, is Starsurge really needed? Any help would be great, then I could get into the real gear.

he didn't mention that he has no gear and is not willing to get gear on his level 12, nor will he get any gear on his 10
 
My suggestion; just make both. Experiment with the level 12 druid and see how it feels. If eventually you max out profs and play around with stats you could find something unique others haven't done yet. Although, if you aren't one for experimenting or don't have the funds/time to do that just remake the toon and don't waste the gold. If you keep the level 12 please keep us updated though! i'd be interested to see how it goes.

my druid ekg@aerie peak used to demolish anyone 35 or below, just about with full haste (wasnt bis, but was pretty good geared) havent played since enchant scaling, however.
 
why would he go 14? he doesn't gain any new abilities and 12 offers better scaling than 14 , especially in bgs

I have been using your account and loserqt's but your enchants are pre 5.4 so idk.

Also neither of you went to level 12 so I am not sure if you considered it or thought it wasn't worth it. Any opinions would be great I am kinda split on it right now.

The stat scaling is Horrid past 10, you might hit harder - but the crit/haste lost is not comparable - but if you're going to be bging alot, then I would say go for it

My reasons for going to 14:
1. Better gear.
2. More health.
3. Stats have already taken a pummelling.

My reasons for going to 13:
1. Better gear
2. More health
3. You still get gear scaling in bgs.


...perhaps 13 is better...
 
mm no I think 12 gets the best scaling, but this is only coming from the fact that 82s get the best scaling at 80-84 but im sure it applies to all brackets
