we've actually reached out to our host and we've got told it's an issue with one of their routing servers and unfortunately nothing they could fix.
Am I correctly assuming that it's been fixed now?

Ye, i live in Austria (Vienna) and i never had any issues with xpoff!

At this point I am rather convinced that the geographical location doesn't have much to do with the issue, I think there is another culprit which could likely be a common factor among those who are having trouble connecting.

Not sure if this will help you, but when I was effected by the DNS issue I was in another country. It worked as soon as I touched down in the UK.

I still have DNS issues from Denmark. Site works maybe 20% of the time. Works fine if I proxy however.
