assasination rogue?

let me guess, you are a player that spam with sinister strike, thinking it is mutilate, and mistaking the tree most to the right side of the rogue's talent specialization window as assassination spec?

I recently revisited assassination out of curiosity and the desire to see myself duel wielding 2 daggers mogged into Assassin's Blade. It really isn't very good. Poison procs like mad but autoattack only tickles enemies. As Sneaky already said, you get nice eviscerates as assassination but not much else. Combat has significantly better damage output and assassination really offers nothing over combat at all.



Meanwhile, while being able to do consistently high(er) dps as combat is fun, it is no fun at all when you can't get to the guy you want to kill in WSG, which is why I fear the next expansion when rogues will (as of now) lose Shadowstep at 19. The burst as subtlety is much better as well and as many people will tell you, burst matters more than steady dps in pvp.
