1. Introduction

First of all, it's not a guide aka "How to play" it's the guide aka "How to build". Warrior is just not that bad at lvl 79, idk what else to say :LULW:, gameplay is basically the same as lvl 80, same skills, same macro, everything is the same, except of gear.

2. Race

Human - free trinket, perception, best Alliance race
Orc - "blood fury" (315 ap :POGGERS:), stun reduction, axe spec, best Horde race

3. BIS Gear Sets/talents/glyphs/stats

BIS Human Heirloom Axe

BIS Human Harpoon

A little bit of clarification on heirloom axe, it's actual BIS weapon, even tho it's SLIGHTLY better than harpoon like for few %.
Higher crit, higher overall damage output (not relying on procs), slightly higher rage generation, that's all as pros. Bit less of proc burst damage as cons. It's just my opinion, if you dont want to farm Heirloom then harpoon is your BIS, and you dont have to worry about few % overall damage increase which Heirloom provides.

<- Harpoon + berserking proc

<- Harpoon + NO bers proc

<- Heirloom + crusader proc (which is reduced and barely noticible)

<- Heirloom + NO crusader proc

I've seen some people running full stamina setup with 25k+ hp, not going to recommend it, just letting you know, that it's bad in general, you will live longer right, but your damage... :Sadge: oi oi.

4. Professions

Engineering (BIS), basically bcz of gogles which is BIS, also for rocket chant on gloves (extra burst damage), parachute, hyperspeed boots, bombs, trinket.
JC (second BIS IMO), especially for humans (second BIS trinket) and a lot of str in general from JC.

again, i would go 2/6 here and gem defensively (resilience) instead

as for the boa axe, i'd kindly disagree due to normalisation being a thing (amongst others); and even if i were i'd put a static enchant like uhh 20str? on it, far better a plan tbh

EDIT: its 15 str, still a better plan tbh

it is possible to swap chest and shoulder enchants to res ones and some gems to res just to match socket color i guess
in orc bis setup listed above there is already 411 res without +50 res flask, swapping enchants will provide +35 res, +20x2 res gems = 75 res in total, using +50 res flask and it will be 411+35+40+50=536, using 1h and shield will provide +45 more res, pretty much enough isnt it

that's a thing, in case we consider heirloom axe as a best no proc weapon, crusader provides just 25str proc, 15 str static str will be better fr

the 2/6 build w/ resilience gems can go to like very close to 800 (760 or 780) w/ 20 stat gems, and the thing is resilience kinda scales w/ itself - the more you already have, the more valuable it becomes due to the way it works

idk, it's going to be the same thing as stacking stam in terms of ap, what will be your melee ap in the end, around 2.5k with battle shout?

i mean you just subtract the str/ap from the bold rubies, i'd have to check but it's probably something around that

well, we discussed 2 more alternatives for arms
1) stam stack
2) res stack
both i find pointless, just bcz it doesnt fit my aggresive playstyle, and im not suffering with often deaths bcz i kill my opponents first
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in case you want to stack things listed above, go ahead

some bg stats:

Might be nice for you to link 80 Upgrade profiles so that we can actually poke around and look at your build. I can't tell if you are hit-capped on all of those permutations. For sure though the viking throwing axe is a better pick than that gun. You should also utilize the Lost Ring instead of the Scarlet Shadows one, much high stat budget and flexible suffixes.

Here's my Arms build for reference: https://eightyupgrades.com/set/gLEo29U6GUUPMMv953mjqz

Might be nice
im too lazy to make one more build on that site and fill all that stuff, just to make you sure im hitcapped bcz you think i dont :pepeW:, in case you want to compare stats you can always do it yourself, all the gear variations available in the beginning of the guide

viking throwing axe is a better pick than that gun
it's not and never been

green stats is what you gain
red stats is what you lose (so it's 100 ap loss etc.)

You should also utilize the Lost Ring instead of the Scarlet Shadows one
i dont, basically bcz i dont need to, all the stats scarlet ring provides is what i need to min max
in case you will change it for lost ring with str + hit then you will be overcapped on hit, lose 0.9% crit and dont gain any ap
in case you will change it for lost ring with str + crit then you will be undercapped on hit, gain 0.10% crit and dont gain any ap
i have to repeat once more, all the stats are min maxed for maximum damage while being not a glass cannon, and i dont have to change anything bcz i dont benefit from it in any way

build for reference
as much as i can see (dunno how accurate that site is), in short, your build has 2.5k more hp, 1.3% more crit even tho you are using double dps trinket for some reason as an orc, 0.04% less hit, 344 less ap (shout + bers proc), 54 less res

huh, im tired

Dude you are comparing the gun with the JC gems in, you can only have 3 JC gems (and could put them in your chest piece) so that's not really an accurate comparison. It's not a good trade lol. But whatever, you want to share the ultimate gearing guide but seem too worn out to rep it so I'll leave you be.

68 str minus 42 ap is 42 ap, yes indeed

wait.

yeah i mightve been retarded tbh, ignore me

alrighty, 40 str or 42 ap then?

i didnt get it
btw i assume i made a typo out there, as it stated on screenshot there is 100 ap loss (not 142) with dragon's eye gems slotted in the gun, or 42 ap loss if just regular 20 str gems

So now you don't care about stam or hit? I don't think you know what min/maxing is. JC players are obsessed with gem slots, I get it, but that gun is just bad itemization.

don't care about stam or hit?
i've already explained that, didnt i?

there is the quote down below

i have to repeat once more, all the stats are min maxed for maximum damage while being not a glass cannon, and i dont have to change anything bcz i dont benefit from it in any way
there is no point to swap gun to axe for me, i dont need hit overcap nor 340 hp (i have no hit nor survivability issues)

Obviously you should refactor some gearing choices so that you don't go over hit cap when you switch to the throwing axe. You can swap to a 'squire' neckpiece and then pick up hit from gems as one option. You should also use a Lost Ring as I said before (much higher stat budget than Scarlet Shadow ring). You're welcome explain why you don't care about stam or hit or whatever stat you want, but that's not min-maxing.
