I haven't been able to confirm this yet, but I think the scaling in arenas (which, admittedly is less than the scaling in battlegrounds for F2Ps) is what scaling is supposed to be. I think, if they are not already, this will be what battlegrounds will use as scaling.

Prior to WoD release, 6.0 scaling to 29 made level 20 BoAs seem like they were giving a lot more stats than they should be. I think the levels of all BoAs were tuned back a bit - and some blues were buffed; like Cuffs of the Black Elements, Battle Healer's Cloak, Gloves of Serpentis - to name a few.

how is it possible to know when blues are buffed and boas scaled back?

In Skirmishes, you can check the newly given stats and compare them to the stats pre-scaling and the stats in Battleground scaling.

I think overall scaling was nerfed. Heirlooms especially were brought down an enormous amount.

Well, never done skirmishes so i'll understand better when i get into them. However, I'm assuming this doesn't mean that this doesn't change the BiS status of looms to the best of your knowledge right?

Talon of Vultros + 18 ilvls of scaling
strike of the hydra + 9 ilvls of scaling

These weapons are likely better than BOA's now

Do you guys like the new Arenas? They are a "new" edition outside F2P ADdon but then again, they mess up queue times for bgs by diluting the playerbase.
