If they are attainable sure, if you can grind them out or are rewarded them in PvP for being good that is one thing... grandfathered bullshit is terrible, it does not matter how many little kids think they are owed it because of a pre-patch.

And the ratio between 112s and 86s is not the same ratio as end game... it's bonkers overpowered at the 20s level.
 
Is there any worthwhile notes from this thread Warglaive or is it zoomers getting upset about their bracket again? I feel like anyone who helped keep brackets alive in Cata/MoP is too jaded to care since we've seen it all before anyway
 
Yeah, those shadowlands gems talked about on page 1 are worth a look for level 29. Require epics with socket to use, tho (ilvl 87 minimum). The regen is a little over the top and the speed bonus is pretty useful compared to the loss of stats.

Glancealot is a buffoon who apparently may have been around back in 60 bgs, not sure, doesnt matter just disregard.

Jadefire complains about everything so it's just this week's reason to say the bracket is dead/trash/terribles.

I dont really think there's anything of note past the shadowlands gems. 20's keep playing but it is gonna suck for them if things dont change, but... that's WoW. Until the dungeon level issue gets fixed every argument is moot cuz no one can get new gear.

I'm not really sure the point of complaining (especially doing it here and not WoW forums) about stuff likely to change.

Everything is broken currently so wtf is all the hubub? I dunno... lol. If you didnt get dungeon epics from WotLK at 29 or WoD at 25 or 27 then you're in a limbo right now til the dungeon drop level issue gets resolved. Even after that only WoD will offer the chance to use shadowlands gems, and that's a epic upgrade plus a socket upgrade... very rare drop.

As usual it is what it is. The grind for GF'd crap is over for the moment so I'm not paying much attention anymore.
 
Yeah I ended up with ilvl 100 boots with 2 sockets from a quest reward I hung onto in SL before these changes and a couple ilvl 100 peices from quest rewards, hoping they buff ilvl of old things or bring things into line but scarab brooch will remain stronk fortunately. At 25 epic procs are ilvl 80 from quests and rares, waiting for any WoD quest reward upgrades though.

I mean it wasnt that long ago we went to stat templates and everyone without gem geat complained, then epic procs on 20s in legion and people with bad procs would complain let alone going back to 64/69 capped brackets woth like 76% resil (I dont miss those sperg spambush rogues though)

Lots of old stuff got broke cuz people were using it at endgame, not sure if anything good survived.

I dont remember the ilvl 25 gets from epic dungeon drops, figured it was at least 87 tho. None of this crap makes any sense... different epics at different levels, this isnt raid tiers for crying out loud. Hope they do something to uniform it up.

I dont know if the Ironweave set ever actually got fixed or if anyone tested it in classic (I mentioned the bug in armaments discord) because the last peice from BRD arena was being very elusive, it seemed like only the last person to loot the chest could get loot from it. D1&2 still proc though although I remember warrior sets getting a huge nerf because the self heal was massive. I suppose I should hit up Kroryyk and Kiingy too see if theres any dumb scaling on Blackblade of Sharam

Stat templates feels like ages ago. My vet 20s guild died overnight after that once there was no draw for things like sfang rop and gloomshroud

I actually think stat templates were the best the brackets ever were, hot take I know. Twinks still had some sets that worked or old trinkets etc that could make things interesting, gems still gave a stat advantage but not only did your levellers have relatively competitive stats so they werent utterly useless but there was 24/7 games that were fairly balanced. I remember some 69 warriors trying to grief people but you'd 1v1 them and laugh.

edit- lol, no... worse than terrible. Ilvl 29 or something for one, and the thing hardly procs and did 11 damage for the AoE.

Brazier of invocation still summoned Mor Grayhoof, didnt get any loot on the 2 toons though so I'll have to keep investigating, Banner of Provocation still summons the arena team and Ive had scaled fist weapon, cloak and bow so far (ilvl 74 bow 16 agi 8 stam 10 crit at 25) so I'll keep popping that when CD allows to see if those can proc anything while I farm a savage glad chest. Will pop over to Dire Maul sometime too see if that summon boss scales cause I know his polearm was stacked purely with agi.

Looking at the polearm that Isalien drops, at ilvl 61 back in the day it had 35 agi on it, I'll get around to checking it sometime but if that stuffs epic proccing itd be a lot of damn agi for a hunter/feral, problem is talking someone with a Brazier into using thier time
