Are 39 druids even good?

I have an old twink i just got back and dusted off and am kinda lost for gear.

This is my first level 39 twink(druid) i ever made back in wotlk, and still my only level 39 twink.

I have a 29 priest and 29 warrior, and a couple of good 19's. I really like the 29 bracket at the moment and am planning more future twinks and i think i might just stick with 29 for the time being.

i am just not seeing the appeal of the 39 bracket and just have some questions-

1) What is the appeal of the 39 bracket over 29?
2) What are some of the stronger classes(Priest, mage, furry warrior?)((Like 29?))
3) Are 39 druids even good?

Your druid is really nice! Play it!

For me as someone who played 29s mostly but is playing 39 this expansion so far.

1) a. Frag belts are still retarded at 29 but not a big deal at 39, my main reason
b. Preference for the slightly different pace, gearing (the scaled epics are really cool), and depending on what class you want to play if you want a certain ability.
c. Less twinks. pro or con depending on your mood. I don't want to have to use third wind on cooldown every match sometimes. Playing my 29 priest requires way more attention.

2) Same as 29

3) Yes but not feral of course

Balance and Resto are in strong places right now at 39. I haven't personally tried feral and haven't really seen any other memorable ferals.

You definitely should pull your druid out of retirement and play them right now! You'd really only need DM trinkets and Mara dagger. Scaled epics are awesome but not the end of the world if your server has the worst economy for them (like mine lol)

1) 39s appeal to me because I've always been here, even before mounts were a thing in our bracket. Its also a bracket that has pretty good class identity.
2) Disc Priest is probably #1 all around, but Boomkin is highest damage output. Fury warrior is good because of dual wielding mara hammers (dear god, help us if Destiny procs ever get fixed), but I would also argue that Arms warriors are good too, because of the MS effect can "end" healers, even pesky Discs. Lots of classes can be made strong actually when fully twinked ;)
3) See first sentence lol

If you do come back to 39s be sure to add yourself to the 39 xpoff community :)

I love playing my Druid in the 39 bracket, as others have said, there are not a whole lot of 39 twinks in every battleground like there are in the 19s community. The class balance is a little better compare to most brackets, as priests and warriors are really the only threat when it comes to surviveability and big dmg. Balance is the way to go.

Is my Druid if you are looking for any specific items to grind out like the dagger or basilisk hide pants enchanted. Tumultuous rings (I’ll 45 version) from the dungeon satchels are BIS too.

So this druid is on my seccondary account, and i was debating if i wanted to spend the money to transfer him over.

39 seems pretty fun but i'm still not sure if its what i want to do.

The Fang set is a good starter set, imo. It gives high INT with the full set plus is easy to get (gloves might take a few runs). I have it on my boomie.

What is the "end-game" gear set though? I don't have much difficulty at looking at 2 pieces and saying "yeah this is better," but I also don't know about the hidden gems of this bracket xD

Then we're looking at scaled epics and BoEs. Hand of Edward the Odd, Eye of the Flame, Lady Maye's Pendant, Basilisk Hide Pants, Elven Spirit Claws, as well as ilvl 44 greens.

Is Hand better than Blade of Eternal Darkness though? And basically what I'm seeing is, get good dung gear and then AH sit xD
I've heard the proc doesn't work in BGs, idk I don't have one myself. But I would imagine if it is functional that it would be BiS. That proc will make sunfire dots super effective!

I consider Blade of Eternal Darkness as standard gear too, so you should have one anyway ;)

Edit: It looks like it procs on melee attacks, so I take it back, it might not be better than Blade.

Just made a char on Bleeding Hollow

:^)

Been having a ton of fun so far, the talent choices aren't too bad, multidotting and applying pressure to healers with bleeds is actually really nice, stun locking potential of ravage can make or break a fight when you properly CC certain pesky healers and I have started to crit over 1200 Big-boy Bites unbuffed, Feral is rare but that is my favourite part about it. Moonkin is definitely where it's at right now.

See you in the BG's Man

I wouldn't just say feral is bad just not as good as balance. If you are like me and don't feel like playing the meta give it a try. I personally like stealth assasins and I find feral is stronger than rogue actually. You just need to play it right utilizing your bear form and such. You would be surprised the big crits you can get off on a single ferocious Bite.

I don't have my bracers on atm for some reason I must've switched them. But I use Imperial Bracers with Agility enchant. Also, Imperial Boots with Flat Agility Enchant are Better than I have here but these are solely for Movement speed.

Honestly, if you are serious have a balance set and feral set. It is fun to change it up. I know I will be grinding balance set for sure once I complete this set with a Winged helm and Wolffear Harness.
