Arcane mages

So i went arcane for pvp to try it out, i've noticed if i can get in a corner alone with nobody beating on me i can put out some great damage









highest i've hit sofar only damage buffs i had was arcane power



lols







Has anyone hit higher than this as arcane?

I have critted for 78 k its all about timing

go for the mana gem talent the increased dmg after succesful interrupt and go for increased dmg on slowed targets

then you can use your trinket for sp interrupt for more dmg use mana gem for even more dmg use arcane power for even MORE DAMAGE!

the only problem with arcane pvp is that its mostly only good in BG because in arena you'll never get to 4 stacks because people will LoS you anyways gz with the crit and i hope my reply was helpfull

From what I've seen at any level I imagine arcane mages as a turret pretty much



When they're not moving and not being harmed they are a wrecking ball to anybody within their range. I'm seeing my 80 guild twink mages put out almost as much as 4-8k dps depending on how much the fight actually makes them move in 187-213 gear.



I know people in 4.01 before cata hit that couldnt even pull that in icc



Arcane mages are op like always and will be buffed in the upcoming patch lololololol

but if you know people that couldnt do 8k in icc with the 30% buff, they had no business being there. and if they couldnt manage 4k they should have been taken out back and shot long ago because they are retarded. but i digress

^ what falkor said, if any mage pre or post cata cant pull above 8k dps in or outside of icc they have something wrong with them... and if they are an 80 twink then they should at least be pulling 40k-50k (well, as fire that is)

Just remembered you are that one wotlk progression guild haha, sorry about that XD I totally forgot about the progression style of your raiding (which sounds pretty original and cool)

We havent had any fire mages really come up in our guild. Our arcane mage tried it but I dont think he's quite attuned to it just yet, he pulls more in arcane than fire but if keeps trying he'll get it in no time. Our frost mage can pull 3.4k easily in 187 gear with a few 200's. Saying that arcane should at least be pulling a base of 5k with 200 gear and our arcane mage does so. In icc gear its hard to say but what falkor is saying is probably right. If your not pulling 8k in 251+ gear in icc you have no business being there. I remember people pulling what was it 3.4-4.5k in ulduar 25m which means people should be pulling 6k at least in that type of gear let alone higher gear
