applying armor kits to boss bops drops and trade to twink in party?

an armor kit's event.type is "Enchant Item Permanent" so unless theres a trade window or lag trick the patch notes that frost quoted would seem to rule out any party trading shenanigans.

Rugged armor kits do seem to have magical powers of exploitness tho... ;)

thats a drop in the bucket compared to what we used to be able to do. i'd hardly call 40 armor an exploit even if it is..

agreed. I don't consider it an exploit - cheap as chips and whats 24 more armor? Even if your a warr with armoured to the teeth you're probably using BoP pants anyway.

Exploits are only really exploits if you keep them secret, when everyone knows about them they get fixed, think about horde log jump, level 80 armor kits, etc. What pisses me off were the exploited FT wep maces and shit like that that people only broke out in short bursts leaving you wondering how the hell you just got 2 shotted.

Did they ever actually fix the durability glitch?

They did, ofc... but indirectly.

Let's see if it's still there...

Everybody is procrastinating and misinterpreting and repeating what everybody else has already said. It would seem pretty simple for this to be tested, and i would myself if my wow wasnt down atm, it would cost all of 80silver and 15 mins of your time at most. So far it doesnt seem like anyone has tested it.

i sorta tested this, i popped a med armor kit on the new PvP pants my main got after reading this post (this was right after I got em) and it deleted the time table and made it untradeable. (and yes i actually gemmed/earthened the legs after lol). Tht was a lvl 80 epic but the same principles should apply.

get that 20 extra armor or w/e it is for ~20k~ gold

grandfathered.

Fail thread is fail

The +40 Armor legs is just put on by a HIGH LVL (IT DOES NOT BIND IT TO CHARACTER)

Its a freaking common known error. It SAYS it will soulbind, but it dont. No need to durability kill an item.. jeez.. are US people that far behind? Everyone in EU's wearing 40 armor =/ (on non BoP items!)

-Jaxel!!!
