only thing I'm really concerned about is if the "yes with no hunters" would also play if there WERE hunters. We'd have like 20ish ppl but I was half asleep when setting the poll so this thread just might be cursed

only thing I'm really concerned about is if the "yes with no hunters" would also play if there WERE hunters.

I personally would not, the reason being that I main Survival and I know just exactly how cancer it is in arena, or just Hunter in general. Adding to this, back when the arena meta was still pretty much under development and TF hosted an in-house 2s tournament, I played in a Survival/Ret comp with an ilvl 34 artifact and regular ilvl 28 necklace (Bramble was banned and so were grandfathered items, including ilvl 44 necklaces) and there wasn't a single round that I didn't get top DPS. We didn't lose any match, everything was a 2-0 stomp until we lost the semifinals against Arms/Holy Paladin and then the finals against the same team. Now imagine a no rules tournament giving Survival access not only to Bramble, but ilvl 49 artifacts AND ilvl 44 necklaces lmaoooo. There would be close to none individual skill expression, if any; the matches would be reduced to which Hunter can press Raptor Strike faster.

Unfortunately my Warrior was not geared when the tournament happened haha, it would have been fun to try Fury out back then.

Yeah, we lost. I guess they simply played better than we did =)

As to banning Survival, I'd say leave it the way it is for this first version, then ban in future ones... just for the hell of it. We already know the implications of allowing a fully decked out Survival, but you know, it doesn't hurt to try once and see how it goes. Some double Destiny Fury Warrior nerd might appear and pose even more of a threat, who knows!
