i just created a new lvl17, holy pal, gotten very basic gears, the 5 pc slither mail set, with 1 green lens, enchant them all and went into my first bg with potion and food, EOTS, its was fun .. put this thread up in case there are other players who likes running around bg feeling invincible .. literally 2-3 shot each enemies .. and takes 5 or 6 enemies to bring me down .. still getting use to a holy paly, but i think it will be really fun as there are NO twinks in sight .. not even 1 :)

1 losing game gives almost 30% xp !!! think i need to quit before each bg ends, maybe create 2 or 3 toons of the same lvl, so when leaving a bg with 15 mins penalty i can get onto another toon to play .. reducing the amount of gain per lvl, so i can stretch 17-19 for as long as possible

this is the 2nd bg .. AB

I used to do that many years ago, but I wouldn’t lock my XP. Me and a friend used to enjoy levelling toons through bg’s, so once we hit a bracket, we would make sure they had the best crafted gear where available, the best food, chants, pots etc.
Between the 2 of us, we had all the professions covered. That was back in the day when u needed prof alts. We never had any coin so farmed all our own mats.
It was probably some of the most fun I had in WoW.
It wasn’t 2 - 3 shot power, but u did have a significant advantage over levellers.
Hope u have some good fun with it.
I’ve settled into the Vet life now so that’s me buzzing ;)

I really enjoy vet BGs
lots of undergeared levelers to pwn in my vet gear :) never gets old

Not exactly like this, but something sort of it...

A few times I've stopped at a handful of brackets for a while (Turning off XP, as well), and geared up quite well before moving on. Found it's a great way to really get good at a new class for PVP.

I spent a bit of time at 19,29,39,etc doing this on a warrior back in MoP, but spent the largest portions of time at 60,70, and 80.

Seems like a lot of effort for a couple of levels - Wouldn't it be better to role a 20 Vet if you just want wipe the floor vs under geared characters?

yes, a little more effort than normal lvlers, but not as much as a full twink, i used this method long ago, at a time when i didnt know what a twink is (when i didnt know xp can be stopped), and later at a time when twinks are in separate bracket.

for this lvl17, i freeze his xp, grind the gears for 1/2 day .. because i run the dungeon by myself, using a lvl101 together with a lvl17, maybe i was lucky i got all the stuff in just about 10 dungeon runs (wailing cav), for players with multiple accounts they can do it this way, for players with 1 account, maybe can group up with others.

i havent pvp since the last patch that stops xpoff from joining lvlers, but from how it turns out, i think i will enjoy pvp again, maybe even more, because when you use this method, you are only thinking about killing lvlers, you dont even need to think about how to deal with other twinks, it is really a different mindset, if you are in a bg full of twinks, you cannot do it this way

i dont know what a vet is .. everyone talks about it, vet=lvl20 ? i am moving this hol pal up till whatever lvl it may go, but i think i will stop xp and gear every 3-4 lvls, then free xp and join bg, i am also still trying to figure out which class is the most appropriate, meaning how strong they are in bg, how easy it is to gear them

in my case, i have tons of lvl10s, i have to create at least 10 lvl10s and delete them every week, they are used for realm transfer purpose, so since i have so many of these lvl10s, it is easy to raise them to lvl17, gear and pvp, even if i decided to play 17-19 "only" but the headache part is the engineering i need to do on every toon so that i can wear that green lens helm

the one good thing about this is, besides running around killing everyone, is the bg q time .. literally a couple of mins q and you are in
