Anyone interested in making a new 49 armories list?

Lol, well, I suppose you could do that until you get banned. Just be sure to do it on a separate account, and don't do it so much that you get ip banned. >.> The server is big enough that a few hackers can't really ruin it before getting banned. The only serious problem we had for a little while was a few 19 twinks subtly using speed hacks to get an extra 10% or 20% speed boost, which on a shaman is enough to run down a druid. Fortunately, we have a couple people now who turn on their video recording as soon as they see that, and it got them banned a month or so ago. Lost like 4-5 twinks from the community, but that's a drop in the bucket.

Also, I'm reasonably sure Leap of Faith doesn't exist in WotLK.
 
been leveling and quite regularly, like every 5-10 minutes it seems, someone is getting banned for hacking...so dont be too tempted. even saw a couple perma/ip bans

Yep. You can't trust the GMs to be right there when you file a ticket, but you give them a screenshot or a video clip or a group of reports about one player, and they take care of business. Honestly, the complaints I hear about Molten remind me of the casual complaints that would float around general chat channels in retail WoW about Blizzard, so I don't give them much attention.
 
crazy how much faster it is to lvl on rag. didnt expect 20x to be sooo much. lvl 20 in 1 hour without even leaving elwynn (only 20 quests done total) and no boa. on lord my guy is only 17 after over 10 hours, 77 quests, and having to have been taking on most of northern barrens (as opposed to staying in razor hill/duro, elwynns equiv.). love the 1x experience for nostalgia, but 20x def rocks for quick twinks....if only i could get molten points fast enough to constantly xfer
 
realm ques make me sad. first ones since like BC for me! if this get serious ill just have to donate at least once to skip that nonsense

Yeah, I even did that for a few friends just so they could avoid the queue. Plus, 10 coins get you a server transfer if you want to save the points.
 
do donators get in RFD faster too or is low lvl rfd just unpopular? sat in some long ass ques so far, only had 1 pop and it took about 2hrs as dps
also i que'd as group with someone and i got the pop but they didnt...are there glitches like that or no
 
Some glitches. Generally we queue with guidies, they're often interested in RDF and they're generally less noob to boot. The average skill level of pugs on Molten is lower than I remember retail in WotLK at least
 
I assume you`re trying it on Rag; you won`t get any RDF pops on levels <80 there, literally like 19/20 of Ragnaros are level 80s, and most levelling players don`t que for RDF.

And you don`t get faster RDF ques as a donator, you only get to skip the realm login ones.
 
got 2 49s on rag atm, and got my first 50 vote points. exciting times!
only complaints so far is a) i wish the server economies were a little better b) there seems to be a lot of terrain issues, and i hope it isnt like that in BGs and c) i wish dual spec wasnt 1k g still >.<
 
(a) Ragnaros economy is pretty decent once you`ve accustomed yourself with the 10fold gold rates, Lorderon [sic] eco is worse as you were able to transfer gold once, it`s been getting better since they stopped that (transferring gold, that is), but I doubt it`ll ever make a full recovery
(b) There still are some terrain issues in the Gulch, most importantly probably the fact that you can charge into your doom if you`re doing it at odd positions, but most times its fine, tho
(c) I can send you some gold, I have more than enough. xD Just lemme know your toon`s name, and I`ll send you some.

Thanks for those points. Maybe I'll add a few notes warning about the terrain issues. Imho, mage Blink for Molten is about how it was in Retail Vanilla and TBC. Fortunately, afaik it doesn't take long to learn the main troublesome locations for charge and blink, and there's only a couple of those spots in WSG, most of them just leading to blink not going 20 yards (which was a problem on live that all mages got used to).

Anyway, have you considered making a 39 twink too? We just reached the threshold of having enough 39s for WSG a couple weeks ago, and imo it's always nice to have another bracket you can play in as a fun alternate.
 
ya i was strongly leaning towards a 39 pally or warrior since so much bis gear seems pretty cheaply available from vote points (mail chest, legs of vault, PoD, etc). or maybe even a lock....i remember reading the forums ages ago and seeing a badass stam/resil stacked sl/sl lock who could basically tank a whole team and just slowly kill them

ps whats the current state of 49. id love to xfer a toon over and start properly gearing. got 49 mage/warrior alliance and 49 spriest horde so far. thinking of either horde shaman or pally next to have 2 on each side to start.
but what would be the best to bring over & start gearing now. which faction has 49s that would want to do gear runs asap, or does anyone have an 80 theyd wanna help with?

pps the terrain isnt THAT bad, just found it rather annoying to sometimes charge and instead fall through the world. and hoping no GM was watching and thinking i was trying to exploit lol. but its not bad, you get put back at a gy alive n all. slightly more irksome is the mobs falling through the world and struggling to get back to you, or getting weird los when it happens. minor things really

I would stay on Rag for now for the Coffer runs, tbh (its subject to the improved rates, if I`m not totally mistaken), that is if you`re planning to do them at all.
You can do the ST runs on Lord alright, bosses (most of then, anyways, some are glitched) don`t have improved rates.

And 49s is still dormant, as Balroy & co haven`t transferred yet. We expect Warsong Gulches to happen as soon as they do, tho

Sela basically covered it all. I'll just reemphasize that all we need right now is enough alliance twinks to balance horde so that alliance doesn't quit after getting steamrolled. We got several pops a few weeks ago, but alliance stopped because by the second WSG, we had like 6 twinks on their 49s. XD

Oh, and with a few exceptions, most of our gear is not perfect, nor are we especially experienced, so I'd expect 3-4 experienced and skilled 49s would be enough to match 6-7 inexperienced 49s.
 
im sooo bored, need people to farm dungeons and do quests with now. everyone make 49s and lets get this going!
