Well, if you look at the facts, they have been okay up until now with twinking, people would QQ in forums, and they wouldn't care what-so-ever, then suddenly destroy our enchants, I know making twinks skill based pretty much will be pretty decent so you can see who is a real twink
this is quite biased...
it all depends on their time on the matter.
let's redo a few history lesson of WoW since the beginning.
they had lots of bugs, lots of going and things to switch, lots of features and lots of people to get into the game to make it the best. then they got to BC. launch a new few things including making people able to create paladins and shamans any side they want. creating again lots of bugs, lots of fixing to do and all. not to mention they ahve to make sure people enjoys replayability. they toyed around a bit with PVP trying to get it better with what they had. key words being "what they had" then wraths comes out, PVP gets broken badly due to all the problem that had seen and had tryed to fix with what they had in hands. its not working, the game is too easy and too unbalanced. what happens at that point is quite simple, it happens in all games, in all developpment in all inventions. they came to the conclusion that nothing can be to fix this. they have to redo the whole thing from scratch with better coding and better ways of playing. but they have to do this with what they have cause they don't want people to brag on a whole new system, that would be throwing away 4 years of hard work. thus they simply rearrange everything !
proof of it, have you even noticed how the whole arena rating system is gonna change too in ulduar ?
this patch is their redoing of the PVP system, bringing it to its lowest to finally get back at all that had to be fixed. all these changes are years late. would you mind that much if they had fixed it right away ? nope you wouldn'T cause you wouldn't have had time to see it and enjoy it. now you'r eonly picking at it cause you had time enjoying it. its part of you now, and that is what hurts you.
for my part... it shard to swallow, but they are changes that should have been made right when the thing hapenned, they ar elate on fixing those... but better late then never as they say. so let's all wait and see what happens. i'm quite hoping it isn't as depressing as it seems.

of all the people i know, only half of them are onto PVP and on all of them only 3-4 are for twinks.
how many people do you really think are playing for PVP or twinks on a whole 6 million ?
its not even 10% of the population !
because if they did this, it will be like taking a gun, putting it in their mouth and pulling the trigger
due it won't even phase them, they have more then 6 million people playing this game for all the other reasons besides twinks. do you really think losing 5-10% of their people would hurt them to the point they have to close doors !
