What does the URL string say? Are there any heavy use of accents in the name? æøåâäêëé etc. etc.
Seems like a display glitch to me. Could be whichever browser you are using as well, some coughing here n there. Could be a lot of things. Most likely a display glitch / data-handling glitch, messing up the character display name resulting in a more code-like name.
Does it consistently show like this, or was it a one-time "fun" thing? Like, what happens if you refresh the page etc.

Probably this, i had a guild name get banned and the GM changed our guild name to Temp Guild of the Whale until we got a chance to rename it. Could be a similar case here, GM forces a rename, therefore the old name is no longer in use, new name isn't picked therefore a temporary name is in place.

In the pass I have actually had numbers in my name. It happen once in a blue moon. It happens to me in 2015 on kel'thuzad alliance on my 60 priest
