Anime Watchers?

Hey no problem, to be honest Im pretty close to cancelling my current subscription as I am not watching it as much as I used to. And from what I can see all the shows I watch have actual free websites that host them. Only reason why I pay is so that I know I will get the shows when they come out and not have to search for them.

Quite a lot of sites out there release subbed versions of animes within hours after release. The site I use (http://www.animeplus.tv/) isn't very "official looking" like Crunchyroll but subbed episodes are available for stream in like an 2-4 hours, for free.

I was kinda interested in Crunchyroll for the quality, though. The site I use doesn't have bad quality. I'm actually pretty satisfied with it and there's a huge variety. But there's a few animes out there with exceptionally awesome fight scenes and art styles that would be a whole lot more enjoyable in HD instead of SD (for example, the anime in my signature).

Sometimes you can find a blog or website dedicated to a particular anime and they might stream HD for free. But those are rare, an extra hassle to find and probably come up ages after the initial release. Besides that, your only option is to actually torrent or download HD but that's kinda inconvenient.
