The burst from demo is what makes it more valuable than affliction. It's also instant. Affliction does not put out any pressure or burst.

all locks i see in arena play demo, just 1 do afflition ( no1 try destro )
vs the affli i must mutch more use LoS than a demo.
sure, the demo got the short burst but i belive the affli do more dps.
i think against heal affli is the stronger wp.

still lock not new hunter, fdruid dots even more op, if it was just cuz of op dot then warrior, druid would be new hunters too.

dots are good dmg dealers in bg, as simple as that, get it?

Yes the affliction lock will most likely get more damage, but it does not have any pressure to get any kill. You're gonna have to pair up with a feral to get any kills.

nah 90k spread dmg from dots, dont create any pressure at all..
ofc if your team is filled with s-keying jaja's, your dots wont do much, sine you create the kill oppurtunitys for the burst classes on your team, demo and aff has very diff playstyles and different "objectives" in a bg.
Demo is burst, aff is wear em down, sooooo you are saying that 1 spec is better than the other even tho they have didfferent roles in bgs.
Demo tries to get kills and aoe snares, aff tries to setup kills for his teams burst classes..

So in saying "who is best" you need to take into consideration the setup, is it in a bg setting? what classes is on your team and the enemy team etc etc..

I've been in games as aff where my team has no burst classes (or ppl capabale) so even tho my dots do good dmg, i would have been better off goin fotm spec and trying to rambo shit
It all depends on the setup.

But seeing how many huntrs were around last xpac, and how many ferals are popping up now, i guess ppl dont want to play different specs / styles, and just go yoloswagfotmtard spec, bizzniz as usual i 'spose..

also if burst is what you want, destro is best.
But ofc you then have to think a bit more about positioning, as you cant just demo leap from dmg, or meta the 5pt evis etc..

And You think any ppl on ti don't know about feral and warriors being rlly op atm? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that those classes has Inc nerfs anyway

but who are we kidding..
only time ive seen other f2p's in arena they been queuing resto druid / disc priest.. guess thats how much they want to feel "competitive" vs other f2ps... bizzness as usual

well if u were playing bgs or av/eots u would know, instead of making guesses that i rerolled fdruid or retpally now. but tbh i dont care wut u think about me or if u respect me. so believe whatever u want.

Pls do explain how you think that the (limited) burst of demo is superior in a mid fight setting with healers on both sides, in reference to your "pressure"
Also pls take the time to think about the various means of "pressure" that come with various specs..

any dmg is pressure. aff is support dmg, maybe not as viable in bursty arenas as the arena heroes say but bis is subjective

I didn't stake a claim in either side's argument. Nor did I mention you by name, so my comment was not directed at you.

Instead, it was directed at Fael and his inability to communicate his point effectively because the terminology meant separate things to different people.

If you'd care to have a discussion with me about class mechanics, I'd be glad to. I'd have a discussion with anyone, I think you'll find that I'm just that personable.

I have little to no interest in this "argument" - in fact, I've already spoken some of my thoughts on the matter.

However, I can guarantee you that if you let your forum-ego get stoked by The Saint, only bad will come of it :(

When Yde left and mods stopped searching the forums as much, Saints post to ban ratio dropped quite a bit.
