Am I the first one to think about guardian druid FC?

just rolled a druid, still gearing him up.

was looking at druid talent calculator on wowhead, and this idea occured to me.

spec guardian.

Enchant Chest - Major Manat gives 100 mana. with 260 mana, you go OoM after 10 Rejuvenation (assuming combat mana regen covers the shifting costs)

Thick Hide counters a druid FC's hardest enemy: rogue. and also reduces magical damage by 25%, it helps when you don't manage to LoS Mind Blast by a 24 shadow priest.

Bear Hug is on a 1 min timer, it's based on YOUR health. so if you have 3000, it's a 1k damage ability that almost guarantees a kill sometimes.

Savage Defense can be godly when you stand on those spots where a rogue has to hit you from front.

after 4 stack ur rejuv is barely gonna keep u up against 1 person and its not hard to time burst when u shift out to heal id still rather have a resto fc or a prot war

I know a few people who prefer guardian FC over the boredom of being resto. :)

there's enough healers in the BGs where even 120 mana usually suffices for FCing

For the record, Bear Hug damage is going to be affected by resilience and likely player armor. Rather than 1,000 damage, I bet it will hit most people for more like 350-400. You are also immobilized during those 3 seconds, enabling enemy melee classes to move behind you and negate a druid's already-poor avoidance.

Not sure how much hp a guardian druid maxes out at, but I'd still take a warrior before one, and possibly a prot paladin.

Currently I'm playing Gaurdian FC on my druid Rapah @ Draenor - Community - World of Warcraft

It's really fun imo. Since there is usually enough healers in a BG I never have to leave bear form and rogues hit like a wet noodle with all that armor :p

You should really go with 100 health since a gaurdian druid really shouldnt be FCing without a healer anyways so you shouldnt have to leave bear form

Thick Hide is amazing and the 12% reduced physical damage 25% reduced magic damage and 6% reduced chance to crit you work in all forms which is great but you again you should always be in bear for the massive armor bonus :p

Bear Hug does NOT do 1000 damage with resi and armor factored in it does around 450 damage on a clothie and like 250 damage on a well armored pala. You can use Mangle and Maul and autoattack within that 3 second stun so it can still do a good 600-700 damage on a clothie. This mechanic is also great for O, sometimes I manage to pull of a 800 fero bite (in fearl gear) then I quickly go use this ability to finish them off, its quite effective xD

Savage Defense is really amazing but a druid's rage regen really is shit so I cant really use it that often but its good xD

This is just my personal opinion on the spec, I've been playing it for the past 2 days and its quite fun although your really gimped if you dont have a healer with you.

Hope this helped xD

EDIT: I play 19's I have no idea how Gaurdian druids are in the 20-24 bracket but im assuming it would be similar :)
