EU+US After the Legion Patch, Item levels question.

So, I know before that each item level above 115 you got 1.75% dmg and 1% healing increase/1% dmg taken decrease. Is that still the case in Legion? This is obviously for PvE since PvP scales you up to 79, item level, etc. But yeah, does anyone know? I feel like i'm not getting the increased damage from my item level anymore.

You dont get scaled up to level 79 in BGs neither does your gear.

I didn't say BG's. I just said PvP, I guess I thought you guys would kind of insert that Arenas do that so you knew that's what I meant. Also, that doesn't exactly answer my question.

Unfortunate. If so, that kind of ruins the 70 PvE scene. Unless they increase the stats on higher item level gear, but due to the squish I doubt that will happen.

The difference between gear isn't really high anymore, no. But that should also make end content raids harder, so i don't think it'll ruin the PvE scene.

Are you testing in BC content or wrath dungeon? I believe wrath stuff has a higher item level threshold, same with world/target dummy

Only BC content, being a 70 twink i don't touch Wrath stuff.

One of the reasons why BiS blood DK tanks didn't need a healer on most tbc bossfights throughout WoD.

And on-topic, I haven't tried it out yet, so Idk. It's easy to test though: just enter a Lvl70 dungeon and try high ilvl and low. It should be clear then.

Okay so I just tested it and it's definitely still active.

With high ilvl gear I do 3.3k smites, with low ilvl gear they're ~ 1.3k

Yup, absolutely active. Soloed a MT HC run with 5-8k dps. Around 2-3k dps in non-instanced content.

i've got a question about ilvl. i've seen a lot of players in battleground with 26544hp. Some do have higher hp/stats due to higher total ilvl. Now i worked my ilvl up to 165 and i still got the same stats? how does this work?

base ilevel for 79 is 183? so no way for us to break that as 70s

You need Ilvl 184, or something like that, for it to matter.

All you have to do to be "BiS" in pvp as a level 70 is
1. Wear no gear with ilvl below 115 since this is the "ilvl floor" for the 70-79 bracket, meaning going below that will have the opposite effect than increasing your ilvl above 183.
2. Don't worry about reaching high ilvls. The highest possible ilvl you can reach on a level 70 character is ~171 which isn't enough to increase your stats.
3. Wear only your main armor type. Not doing so will decrease your stats.
