Advantages and Disadvantages of "Hybrid F2P"

many moons ago we tried to figure out exactly what the triggers were for free retries but I never got enough data samples to figure it out. Its not every 3 months but sure did seems so there for awhile. I'm sure it has more to do with timing of expansions, major patches, time of year, etc. Bottom line is once you've paid your $5 (or however cheap you can get it), you'll occasionally have free re-tries (historically sometimes 7 days, sometimes 10 days) to knock out whatever p2p stuff is on your wishlist. ... And use the retries when you get them because they expire.

Thank you for clearing this up. According to blue posts:

The account essentially needs to be inactive for a while Shoopuf.

As for players getting more than one, I've passed this on to be looked into further. :)

Hey Ascolan,

The trials do often get reset to allow players another chance to check out the content, best thing is simply to check in your account management page if you are eligible to claim the trial.

The second post seems to suggest Blizzard maybe does a "sweep enable" of inactive accounts. The question is now, do "inactive" accounts count for non-subscribed or non-played? Regardless, I'll add "Occasional possibility of free game time" to the advantages.
