It can't be very fun. There's no challenge to it, you can destroy everyone(but other mages and priests) in a single shatter and your ice barrier absorbs ridiculous amounts. I really don't see the point, it's like rolling a 19 hunter. I guess it's a way to feel skilled.
I used to enjoy mage myself from s2 and to the cata pre patch. Now they are just dumbed down, watered out and OP at all brackets, godlike at 70. Ruins it for every other class.
A good rogue can beat a good frost mage maybe half the time if they time everything perfectly and master the good old cheapshot/gouge opener, and to answer your question, arcane and fire is a lot more fun than frost, much more of a challenge because you dont get an 8k bubble / 2 blocks/ pet freeze/ deep, etc.
guildies still play there prots now its all about what you like not what hits dem big crits but yes the main reason certain people play the OP class's is for easy play style while being able to kill something quickly is in no doubt possible mage still has a high skillcap (yes even at 70) in high end arena it will come down to skill over class iv solo'd double mage on my pally when they double tazikd my arms war (was doin fun games) just to say a class is op means nothing cept its easy for the player to an extent every class has its day is all i can say people say hunters are crap atm and yes they are horrible phd only won blizzcon because of luck in that game everyone can agree on that and at 70 they suffer alot also sorry this turning into a bit off topic but my point is play what you enjoy not what you want to 2 shot things on if you get over being 2 shot go make a frost resist set for bgs / arena or make a mage dont QQ about it simply no point in the matter
Meh, I enjoy arena, and any character I can play decent arena on is fun for me, I enjoy being able to shatter people into Africa. But I hate when others do it
Don't want an OP class, want balanced classes and lowered damage/healing output because at the moment it is stupid and most classes take no skill. But yeah, I get grumpy trying to do bgs and get zerged by mages and rogues every round...

that is not what twinking is about and has never been balanced take 19s in vanilla mages in premades were pure CC rogues had 0 slows and used throwing weps against each other constantly ... twinking is about havin fun with what is available not QQn close this thread someone i dont know why it hasnt been,,,
