Of course you can farm as any spec but if you're doing it by your self (legion world mobs can be looted up to 5 times by 5 different players) and you're doing it on a spec that can't effectively aoe the entire area....you may lose interest fast from a lack of results.

Best bet might be to find some buddies to farm with you, speed things up a bit.

Was there for an hour tonight, and suddenly the respawns went directly to shit. I was going from one side to the other AoE killing everything in 3-4 globals and then suddenly there wasnt even 4 mobs a side when i would swap.

I wonder if it has to do with how many questers actually have the quest? Cuz there was definitely change...

edit- and in that hour i got 300 AP, 0 epics, and 93446465757 codex of the tranquil mind.

Although that will delete anything with the word 'tranquil' in it. Personally I don't use http://www.wowhead.com/item=141446/tome-of-the-tranquil-mind though. Wowhead says there are 3 questing leather pieces and one holy relic with the word tranquil in them so keep that in mind.

Unfortunately 2 x ilvl 746 trinkets requires equipping one that is garbo for pve. So as a caster you can have one int trink and then you must equip either the str or agil one :< I felt a little dirty equipping that trink on a hpal. The things we do for instanced pvp...

I can't even fathom doing this grind on a single character (1 x loot) let alone a char without the option to aoe pull the universe. Horribly inefficient :<

Its a frost DK, einstein.... kill each SIDE in 3-4 globals. The point was that the spawn rate dimnished for some reason.

But way to wrap yourself up in you just a little bit more. Hope it feels good.

Getting 5 boe epics, 10 k art power & 100k+ gold in about 10 hours feel pretty good yes.

Guess that diminished spawn rate only happens to super salty edgy frost dks?

Well when you give us your next blog update, try comprehending what's being said instead of rushing to tell everyone that's not you how unfortunate they are to be so stoopid and inefficient.

This thread about farming AP went from an instance you could do solo for upwards of 1k+ AP in as little as 30-40 minutes to you patting yourself on the back every opportunity you could give yourself and telling everyone else they arent you.

I dont give one shit about your epics, good for you. I'm in this thread about AP to discuss AP... not blog you.

This grind just became the most effective AP farm i know of after the chest nerf. I dont need epics. I need AP. I can AoE the shit out of the area - it's STILL worse than the chest runs were.

edit- and yes- random as hell. Kind of the point you ignored previously JUST in order to pat yourself on the back. How unusual and inefficient for you to have so many posts without an epic drop in this artifact power thread....

Just got doing a 3 hour grind with 2 others and your right about the spawn rate being a little inconsistent at times. Its not really that bad cause it'll spawn like 4 adds and once you kill those just about everything will spawn at once and go back to normal.

Yeah, it went back to normal for me too the next time i logged in. Just got a bit nervous given the randomness of the nerfbat being swung our way. I'm sure the chests had little to do with 99 at all, raid guilds were probably spamming 5-mans thru there to get a tiny AP advantage.

I don't mind people posting their results. I'm interested in both the epic and AP drop rate. Unfortunately, I'm on the opposite spectrum. No epics in the last 15 hours of farming the same spot by bridge. Solo farming and mowing down around 12-15 mobs per minute.

20.5 hours
41 blue AP
7 epic AP
for 184 AP per hour

After 5.5 hours - 1 epic mail legs. Haven't seen a second epic yet.

There are very brief periods where mobs dry up, but for the most part they keep spawning.

Me neither... what i do mind is some self-absorbed douchebag using their results as nothing more than opportunity to tell everyone else they're doin it wrong and are idiots for picking a different class/method/goal than his.

We all do what we do for our own reasons. I'm glad you got an epic doing it your own way - congratulations.

What more needs to be said about that? Other than good luck on getting more? Because that's all it is, luck. /shrug

For people bored of the 3 huts location, try 43,44 in Stormheim (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=100435/bloodtotem-flameheart) as mentioned earlier. And two other pretty decent spots: Deepcavern Murlocs @ 43,23 in a cave in Highmountain (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=95753/deepcavern-murloc) and Bluewax Graverobber @ 56,45 in Highmountain (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=96774/bluewax-graverobber). All decent quest mob spots with good respawns. All easier to farm as hunter in my opinion than the huts spot. Your mileage may vary for other classes. Got my 1st epic drop on the Bluewax guys after about 1.5hrs there.

Sorry warglaive, yes I maybe have become a bit self absorbed and side tracked in my rapture of the shiny purple haze. My apologies. Moving on.

Although I couldn't find any blue / official posts about it, forum dwellers speculate that there is a link between the respawn rate and the number of people currently in the cross realm zone. And unfortunately the popular curse addon 'cross realm assist' (making it easy to jump around to different CRZ's) has been nerfed / broken since legion.

Oh and the old method of farming bonus chests in Neth's lair should still work via LFD. I haven't tried it myself yet but what's to stop 2-3 twinks (with a at least a tank or healer for instant queues) from specific queuing NL and just going straight for the chests and ignoring everything else then leaving? You can only queue LFD once every 15 mins and you won't get deserter as long as you've killed at least one boss.

I can't see a problem with that method except finding a tank / healer to queue with. Someone go test it for me My warlock buddy isn't 99 yet so it'll be a while for me.

The chests are there in LFD, i can queue as a tank on that DK and get them that way - thing is...

There's not much "efficient" about basing casual grinding completely on the availability of 3-4 other people for 35 minutes an hour. And totally screwing 2-3 random others. Id rather be a decent person and "inefficient" in that.

AP farming seems to still go fastest using LFG (this probably differs per class). I solo que tank as retri making the farm as fast as possible. I find the drop rate by farming mobs to be frustratingly inconsistent and have also had the +75 and +100 drop from mobs in the dungeon.

Seems like in Neth's Lair the waterfall chest can't spawn until the first boss is dead now (just tested), maybe it's the case for all the chests in the instance?

Edit: Had a chest spawn in EoA whilst solo by killing the first boss.

Edit2: Can confirm all possible chests can spawn in EoA after killing first boss but have only seen a max of 2 up in one run.
