Did you know that... the United States government had a undercover mind control operation? Yes, I'm not even joking. Its goal was to break people, using drugs and hypnosis. Here's a quote right out of memo that outlined the project. "Can we get control of an individual to the point where he will do our bidding against his will and even against fundamental laws of nature, such as self-preservation?" This project later became Project MKUltra.

MKUltra tested LSD and other mind altering drugs on American and Canadian citizens without consent. They didn't just use LSD or hypnosis. They also used sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as various forms of torture.

Operation Midnight Climax was a sub-project of MKUltra. Basically, the government paid prostitutes to 'lure' clients back to their little CIA safehouses were they would drug unconsenting America citizens with drugs like LSD. Government offices would watch and monitor them through one-way glass.

How about Operation Paperclip, a program in which over 1,500 German scientists, engineers, and technicians from Nazi Germany and other foreign countries were brought to the United States for employment in the aftermath of World War II. They expunged the scientists' Nazi Party memberships and regime affiliations from the public record.

Operation Sea-Spray was a U.S. Navy secret experiment in which Serratia marcescens and Bacillus globigii bacteria were sprayed over the San Francisco Bay Area in California. They even conducted similar experiments outside the United States.

All that is from the 1950s and 1960s, and was done when the threat from the Soviet Union was very alive. The 9/11 events happened a couple of generations later against a perceived threat that never matched the USSR in magnitude. I'm not saying that your comparison lacks merit, but it's not exactly comparing apples with apples either.

Operation Northwoods was a proposed operation against the Cuban government, that originated within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other US government operatives to commit acts of terrorism against American civilians and military targets, blaming it on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. Some people will do heinous things in the name of self-preservation, and some people will do heinous things in the name of gain. That's where I see apples to apples.

Didn't you know that climate change was the root of all Evil? It caused the Syrian Civil War too! Climate change caused years of drought and caused many many farmers to go to the cities looking for work. This caused untold unemployment. Terrorists organizations love to recruit in those types on conditions. Thus, climate change led to the build up of some terrorist organizations and global terrorism. All because we are dependent on fossil fuels. What can we do, you ask? I suggest start living like the Omish. But, it will take everyone in the entire world to do it. Are you all willing to do that? Yeah climate change is the real issue here, it's the main cause terrorists do what they do. Beats me how it's being brought up all of a sudden in the past few years by our government seeing how terrorism has been going on for a long time. Darn climate change.. /sarcasm

Cool has nothing to do with 9/11. I agree government involvement was possible, but there just isn't the available evidence.

I'm pretty sure the government won't ever make any evidence against them ever surface, even if it's true the government did 9/11

The available evidence is everywhere. What I brought up just goes to show what kind of shit was on the table by the very people in charge of the defense of our country.

There is some arguable evidence I've seen, and inferences made, but it's all if's and maybe's. It's like there is an asterisk. Trust me, I want to believe.
