85 Retribution Paladin Gear?

Elite gear is not available as of now, and most likely will never be.
I'm waiting on the axe on Silvermoon EU, one of the highest populated servers, lot of rich people too Oh well!

Blizzard said patch 5.2 it should be back, but knowing blizz it could be till next expansion, we shall see.

You mean the actual >Elite< tag gear right? Which required you to have rating to buy (different colors etc).
The regular 390 cataclysmic is indeed waiting to be fixed (hopefully before 5.2) for some classes.

And about windsong vs dancing steel. 1500 of a secondary stat scales for a lot more on 85 as it does on 90, opposed to str/agi which will give raw AP equal to what a 90 would get.
So this needs some testing definately!

It seems that the paladin boots and chest "elite" tagged gear is buyable from vendors. At least that's what wowhead says...
But ye we need to test Dancing Steel and Windsong properly. Also the whole haste vs crit vs mastery.

Side note: I love how now, every night at 00:00 I'm excited about looking on the black market ah ^^

Indeed, BMAH has actually become exciting, after the millions of blood-soaked invitations.
Finally higher brackets have a huge money dump where they can actually show some dedication
instead of farming easymode gear for under 10k total.

Gets head with meta gem/socket. 450 waist, alchamy/str use trinket and then full pvp + the best wep you can get. you need the 4 set bonus for pvp(anyone thats experianced with retri knows how good that is)

Also you do not have to socket full pvp power, its all depending on how you play and what you play with.

Seeing the current state of pvp at 85, pvp power is vital vs all healer classes, so at least 30% power is recommended (without gimping other offensive stats ofc).
And seeing the current range on Judgement now, I'd say 4set bonus isn't THAT big of a deal, considering Blurring Fingers gives you 52 more Ilvl, and more pvp power assuming you're going with BS. But ofc, If you feel you die awefully fast, you can always switch about some resil, only recommended in 2x dps comps though.

I sit at 30.56% when I'm using Gauntlet's of Blurring Fingers. 29.28 if I swap my cata cloak for Brilliant Cloak of Wu the Younger.

I wish I could finally buy my cataclysmic pieces. Not going to bother switching out my pve pieces for ruthless, especially since they can't be enchanted with MOP enchants.

I have a set with pvp power gemmed instead of mastery, almost identical geared.
Though for arena's im sticking to holy! 65% resil, 201k hp.

I'm looking forward to the vendors coming back. I never finished my holy set off last expansion and I'm looking forward to it. Do you have trouble surviving with no cata pieces?

Not at all, I had around 175k hp but switched around enchants to get 201k. Never get bursted down by SP's/Mages when caught off-guard now! When cata pieces come back, i'll drop some hp, and i'll be at 70% resil
