85 BG marks hunter

Hey guys, I'm searching for info on 85 hunters. The state of battlegrounds atm is confusing. Could someone explain what should be gemmed as a 85 marksmanship hunter, crit or agility? I was thinking of getting the heroic ds 2 piece set bonus for extra focus generation. Then get skinning for the crit and JC for 2X crit gems but i cant find any thread explaining what happens to professions in a bg... Do they scale? And what is with gear scalling up in battlegrounds?? Any list of such gear?

alch bs is proly still bis for bg's...
i dont alot about gearing hunters but for a few classes jc can give you a stat boost bigger than bs out of bg´s..
engi is engi and will allways be engi.... alot of ppl play alch engi

the passive profession bonuses does scale up.. aeolo made a sheet where you can see that stuff, i cant belive i was able to find the link o.0

and as allways huge ups to aelo for his work on this and many other stuff's =P

I've seen the chart but that is only for out-of-bg scaling isn't it?
I guess my main question is, what is better to gem as marksmanship for BGs, crit or agi, and do skinning, mining, herbalism perks scale up IN bgs?

the passives from proff's does scale up yes.. but they are not really worth it, you can see what they will give in the charts
as i said before i dont really know how to gear a hunter so i dont know stat priorities

Go full agi over crit, you will be at 50%+ static crit in BiS, which is plenty. Anyways, there are only a few gemslots, unless you chose to go BS.
Also the leather mop head & gloves are debatable, because you lose 5% agi bonus for breaking mail specialisation, especially if you run with alch/engi.
Calculated across your base agi plus all your agi procs, that 5% loss is considerable and imo outweighs the static increase in agi.
Plus the hc tier 2 set double focus gain is a pretty nice bonus too.

Here is a BiS MM hunter using ds tier 2 set with alch/engi. Also, you can go with the scope over the chain for even more agi, it has a very high uptime. I was switching to chain for arenas, but if purely for bgs i'd run with scope.

yeah in bgs my crit drops from 50% to around 25
I think the leather pieces really aren't worth it because the 5% is pretty huge, and secondary stats scale so badly that gemming them is not worth it either.

What are your views on the Vial of Shadows trinket?
And what about the tailoring back enchant?
Edit: i see you also run Fervor ;D do you use it only for arenas? Would you switch to another talent for BGs?

I would actually go for a full Mail set, if you are planning on playing MM. Most people would go for the leather head+gloves, but choosing the Tier head+gloves gives more agi as it is, + the 5% mail bonus. I made a set for mm hunters, aiming for max Agi>crit>haste.
