84 Warlock or 84 Mage

Debating on creating one for xp-off bgs. I was told that a Troll Destro Lock is good because of the slow Chaos Bolt cast but I'm currently enjoying my Undead Fire Mage. I've currently run into many xp-off 84 twinks such as Elemental Shamans, Shadow Priest and Frost DKs. It's an interesting tier because of secondary stats being so high.

I do plan on having BiS gear and I'm actually one piece away from it.

Any advice?
 
Don't be a [bundle of twigs or a type of meatball], stop at 80 or go 85.

Just Roll an 80. 84's are just no skill chumps that get facerolled by 80s. so they decide that have to make a toon at max level to counter their poor playing skills.

Regardless, I very much enjoy my 80 twink and just wanted to make another in the same bracket. Most 84s are terrible and I thought having one that was good would improve standards however if 84 is cheap, I'll consider stopping at 80. Though high levels of crit, haste and mastery can make an 80 Warlock or Mage just as over powered as an 84 one.

You all are being [bundles of twigs or a type of meatball]. He can play the way he wants. You trying to step in and tell him he can't play how he wants is pathetic.

OP I have an 84 mage (but with terrible gear and I rarely play him), and he's pretty awesome. Personally though I would prefer a class with some self healing. I'm making a balance druid at the moment and I'm planning on a lock also.

Play the way he wants meaning he's not good enough to play at 80 and needs 4 levels and more MOP gear to compete.

Play whatever you want and howver you want, and dont let this *[bundle of twigs or a type of meatball]* tell you otherwise...

However, even though i dont play the bracket, try not to roll a FOTM 84, since you do have quite a big advantage over the 80s, both gearwise and the fact that they're not hitcapped against you...

@Amaya, you're the kind of person that makes people hate twinkers, and i do agree with OP, it doesnt matter how much you've been hurt throughout your life, it doesnt justify you taking it out on random people on the internet.. Now go back to your cave.

He just got banned off wow us forums

I think it might be someone that is trying to get his account banned or something. He posted his acct for sale and then he posted a thread in general that capped in an hour. Then his thread was gone and all his posts in other threads.
 
Isn't 80 way better coz of the stat scaling? I haven't done the math but you can't even put mop gems in your gear at 84 (except the helm) and you get a lot less benefit from the stats at that level.
 
if you enjoy your fire mage than go ahead and stick with him, since your already at the level you want to be and dont have to wait/waste more time getting gear or leveling
