80-84, Druid Questions

Hi! I am leveling my druid at the moment along my budd, who levels a Hunter.
I am looking much forward to trying how the PvP is at 80-84. I would like to raid solo aswell, but I think the biggest point of my trip to 80-84 is PvP.

84s.. I see 84s have like x5 80's health. Are 84s looked down-upon like 24s? Do they have flaws, are 80s better? I love to be an 80 (i always prefer, 10, 20, 30, 40, instead of 14, 24, 34) but is 84s so much more powered?

And can anyone send a BiS PvP set for Druid Balance? And maybe for Hunter, BM?

Thanks ;)

The bracket is a hot mess and not worth the effort.

Ques are 25 or 35 minutes long. 80's are either people with XP off for Herald of the Titans or people on the battle chest. 84's are generally full MOP geared and unstoppable killers or unkillable healers.

Either way a twinked 84 you might as well be running 70 twinks vs 19's. It's that severe. In all save the effort if you want to PVP it is a complete waste.

Sounds like you should just go 70.

Ehhh seems you should go back to 70 that has the most broken bracket in the game.

Haha 84 lvls arent that op tbh. You can easily reach 2k or even 2.2k in 2v2 as 80lvls well 2.2k is abit harder but you can see my point.. :)

I do have to agree that most 84's seem to have the upper hand, obviously but I have to say most of the 80's other than those who run with battle chest do a pretty good job keeping the 84's at bay. Right now me and my guildies have no trouble downing lvl 84's, mainly because..
1) Most 84's roll 84 bc they're terrible players and need the gear and lvl boost to carry them in this bracket
2) In my opinion 84's are much easier to gear (no need to farm pvp gear/raid gear
3) It seems that we get only a few "geared" 84 twinks, they just stop their exp and jump in bg's

Though 84's have more survivability most of all the 80 twinks have a much higher burst, as a warlock I can kill multiple 84's without any problem at all.
But in order for this to happen you will have to form yourself into a glass cannon, which is huge down fall D';
Bal Druids is what you wanna do I suggest 80 - I haven't seen any good 84's but right now I know a few 80 bal druids dominating the bracket.

GL ^-^

You have two choices, go for full pve gear including the caster 400+ ilvl stuff and be a glass cannon or go for a mix of 400gear and pvp gear which i think is the main advantage of a lvl 80.
I have an 80 warr and i can get 80% resilience dmg reduction (combined with resil flask) and I have yet to face a 84 that can beat me 1on1 as 84s never have more than 40% resil reduction.
Resil is the main advantage 80s have versus 84s imo.

If you have 80% Resi as Warrior i guess you have around 35k + or something... Even when you have 80% resi you have so low hp that it does not matter really. Pretty sure decent gear 84s will be close to one-shot you.

Well the fact that he can get +200 resil on his chest gives him more res than most of us, plus for all we know he could have maybe leather working giving him about 10k more health that brings him to at LEAST 40k I'd think..

But I can't imagine any warrior being able to beat most casters they're just at such a huge disadvantage in this bracket. Not saying that I think you're lying but I have yet to see a good warrior, do you think we could check out your armory godroad?

Maybe as a template.

Sure

got 65k hp, 80% resil with flask, a 90 lock with full epic gear tested Chaos bolt on me, it was critting for around 15k if i remember correctly so no, I don't get 1shot by 84s. In bgs i do quite well but getting top dmg is hard as I'm not a ranged class. 1on1 I faire very well. Double charge helps catch ranged and they die in the 4second shockwave if they don't pack a lot of resil or stamina. 2Xcharge+stun makes a world of difference.
It's the 80 resilience stackers that I'm worried about ;) unkillable shammies and shadowpriests. Rogues and other melees have to eat 74% parry. 84 blood dks are a bit annoying as i cant really damage them outside of a stun coz of their parry but they can't get through second wind with prot stance so i eventually down them.

No 84 classes really come to mind as being overpowered. But perhaps I've only been seeing bad players? I dunno :s
Oh and yeah 84 disc is unkillable heh
How do you do Jonqui? Are there many 84s on the US side? You still prettymuch 1hit them with chaos bolt right? >:)

Depends I've been running aff as of lately, yeah full res great don't die etc etc I pull top damage most of the time.. full dots on an 80 dead, I have enough time in between fights normally lifeblood is always up for me to down an 84 without any trouble.

Sometimes I'll throw on the destro set if I'm in the mood.

Kinda makes me wanna make yet another warrior.

It's a lot of fun aye ;D
I am currently working on a hunter, just to see if i can get 100% crit... I wonder if that would possibly rival mage/lock dps... a guy can dream.
