The 70 i was most familiar with was mostly up from the 19 bracket, to be fair, so i wouldn't put that on you.... but yeah, it was toxic as hell. Not at 79, just in general.
But as log as someone with zero interest in raiding is required to raid lockouts for an undetermined amount of time only to watch anything but your armor class drop week after week.....
Yeah, 79 is fine. Or 72. Or 76. Whatever.

I’ve been playing deep prot at 70 and I think it’s actually a must, the utility with shockwave is just amazing and it really helps take out healers, for dks I just hamstring , and disarm when they are about half health, the only class I’ve been having issues with with deep prot is actually Rer pallys, so I just use mind control (eng helm enchant thing) on them and charge the casters in the back and there team usually takes the Ret out lol.
I’ve been gemming armor pen and resilience. Ima try the arms prot spec more but I like the mobility and utility of deep prot thus far
